Actually i am not even sure if 7-11 accepts credit card    But i think i have seen a credit card processing terminal at the counter before. If i happen to go in one tomorrow i'll give you an update.

Ahhhh HSBC 

I receive SMS from them that my card was sent on 29th , says if not received in 1 week , to call.

So I wait a week, call them - they tell me that card is on the way. Today still no card, so I called again, now they told me the card was already signed for on 29th    Gave me name and IC number of person who signed for it , I guess it might be one of the security guards at the condo here, but then they should have put the card in my post box.

Hope I don't have to re-order and wait again 

So it was not HSBC fault. It was the incompetency of Pos Laju.

may I know what is the best/fastest way to cancel a credit card?

There's a CC cancellation letter sample shown on the first page of this forum. Do I need to send that letter via snail mail or can I do it via email?

You have to give HSBC a second reconfirmation call 1 week after the 1st call. My experience with EON bank was that they accept phone in cancellation and can even confirm the cancellation on the spot but somehow my CC was never canceled. I only realized when EON billed me the RM50 tax.
