Maybank CS sucks!!!! It is very hard to reach thier hotline. I had tried waiting 20mins and still nobody pickup.
Ended up i called the outside Malaysia no. and ask them to transfer my call.

Even you go to counter also same. Waiting 1 hour ended up doing nothing.
I want to change my saving acc address only need to go back to the place I opened the acc.
I also fill-up a form for CC address change, already 2 months still mail to old address.

What kind of bullshit is this of service. Waste time and money.

If I am not mistaken, the RM50 service tax will be subsidised by EON Bank if you swipe 3 times of any amount within 70 days upon card approval.
Unfortunately in Malaysia, NO car dealers allow you to pay in full using cc.

not much can be use with those high CL except to stack the debt

can credit card be use as medical card thingy during emergency?

Please do not have the mentality that high CL is just useful for stacking debts. You shouldn't be stacking debts with cc in the first place.
High CL is very useful for frequent overseas business travelers. Are you aware what is the price of a hotel room in Japan, Europe (or even Taiwan), they can go for about RM1K or more per night. The Al-Burj in Dubai is a few thousands per night.

Then multiply that by the number of nights that you stay and your basic expenses such as food, etc -- don't you think you need the high CL?
Of course there are many reasons that you may need the high CL but certainly not to stack debts. If anyone is thinking that way then please do not use  cc.

Dear ... This card is a class above TRUE Platinum. If you want class then only those qualify can own. If everyone qualify then where got class already.
*
credit card= stacking debt, unless you are using debit card or you swipe 1 time then pay afterward

out of 10 people maybe only 1 or 2 are real businessman with those card

wonder if can report to BNM that they misuse our privacy by selling to other departments within the same organisation for offering other services.

Instead, BNM should come out a guide or rule that allows consumers to choose not to be contacted for any promotion or offers.
*
this is merehsia.....i think they wouldn't too bother about privacy

so nobody apply the eon bank visa signature here??????

by the way, if they already charge us the gst and annual fee for the card i no use, can we cancel the card and ask them waive the fee.. the fee is for this year if i never use their card this year also no outstanding why i need to pay leh??? i forgot to call cancel on time..

GST is to pay government....so not possible to waive

annual fee MAYBE possible but usually they won't cause it cost them money to issue credit card

unless u spend alot on their card (they earn money) they will probably waive it to keep you as customer then you can cancel the card once they waive the anual fee

haha, if they waive the annual fee why i need to cancel again?

anyway, called the bank and gst has to offset with points and annual fee can waive...

oh yeah, my friend want to cancel uob card because of gst then bank offer give cash back if swuope few usage in a month and increase credit limit if she keep the card le.. other bank why no follow uob de...
*
they do that so that they can keep your friend as customer....your friend probably spend alot on his/her card...they dont increase your credit limit if he/she don't use it

you didn't use the card...they don't have profit....they probably wont waive for you even you threaten to cancel the card

you are not much of a good customer to them

It is almost a sure thing that credit card annual fee can be easily waived nowadays. As a matter of fact, nobody is paying any credit card annual fee anymore.
Not really. There are many who do not use their cards frequently but still can easily get the annual fee waived.
*
the big boss still paying the annual fee tongue.gif

it still depends on bank....

Credit limit increase are normally approved by another department. CS/Agent do not have the authority to approve this request.
Even if you call Citibank it is the same thing (Despite them advertising this feature openly). Request and approval for temporary CL is done by different department + bear in mind temporary CL only last for 30 days.

You need to pay off the excess CL used in your next bill + 5% of what you original CL. If you don't do this means you defaulted on your payment. Aha ... not so simple after all right ? There's a reason banks often deny this CL increase coz customers may not understand this part.

I didn't get any letter about this. SCB replied my email saying they will reset the rebate on 1st July. Guess we will know it later whether rebate system still exist or not.

I never hold any credit card before. The only card i used to have is my company corporate card. But since I realized that I can take opportunity from my business traveling and collect the reward point for myself, that why now i am applying one. I use my hometown address as I always traveling. Last week my mom decided to stay with my sister in ipoh, so i am afraid that nobody will received the card when they deliver. I apply the card last Thursday, is it possible to ring them and ask to change the address?
*
you can request to have your card send to your choice of branch then you collect it yourself

Thanks to all the gentlemen who had responded to my comments.

Actually I do have credit cards from my own country , but I want a local one , it would be easier to make my payments.

I dont know about Singapore , but for the US you dont need all that documentation , infact they just send you the cards to your mail , I have 2 cards that way.

I understand catching alien defaulters is a headache , but the banks should take into consideration the amount of time you have spend in the country and look into your banking history before making a decision. Unlike that B!tch rep (citibank) on the phone who hears the word alien , and starts spitting numbers out.
*
no document needed in US?....i assume you are US resident?
banking history doesn't matter if they decide to default....just like what happen in US housing bubble tongue.gif

no sane bank will approve alien resident CC without documentation

No. As long as you find out your card has been compromised, inform your bank immediately. BNM clearly states that the card holder is liable up to a maximum of RM250 of fraudulent charges only.
No. That doesn't make you a bad credit card user.
*
where did you get the "BNM clearly states that the card holder is liable up to a maximum of RM250 of fraudulent charges only." guideline?

i can't find anywhere on their site...and when i email them, they give something else = =...
