How come the last time I called HSBC, they said none of their credit card comes with free travel insurance?

In that case, HSBC customer service must be truly lousy because I called up a month ago to specifically ask that question: Does their credit card comes with travel insurance. The answer is "no" for their gold, Platinum and premier CC. Shocking!

QUOTE(MilesAndMore @ Jun 29 2010, 11:42 PM) It's pretty low in my opinion. The Premier service you get in Malaysia are of much higher quality than UK. Here they treat you like Kings but in UK, you are just a normal customer. Not sure about HK.The requirement is very low for a high income society like UK. One of the highest HSBC Premier entry requirement is Hong Kong i believe. You need to have a minimum deposit of HKD1 Million to qualify. Anyway, many people in Hong Kong qualify for Private Banking services. So i guess this HSBC Premier Hong Kong requirement is considered very low to them. All credit cards issued by all banks in Malaysia are good for overseas use. You might want a card that gives you double or triple points when you use it overseas. RM60,000 for both. Many years ago, overseas merchant do not wanted to have anything to do with any Malaysian CC regardless of which Malaysian bank including Citibank or HSBC or EON or Maybank etc. Anything Malaysian is trouble and they tell you point blank they do not accept. Now more acceptable. Added on June 30, 2010, 8:12 am QUOTE(MilesAndMore @ Jun 30 2010, 02:38 AM) In a very advanced country like the United States, cash is still a big part of their lives but almost everyone relies solely on plastic nowadays. I even know some people that only bring cards and their driver's license when they go out because their credit/debit cards are all they need to pay for something The reverse is true. If you bring large sum of cash to buy things, they think you must be a drug dealer. This post has been edited by Optiplex330: Jun 30 2010, 08:12 AM |
