I have no idea about the minimum CL of SCB VI. But one thing I am very sure is that, when SCB VI was open to the public last time, they could easily grant you a 6-figure CL if you really meet the income requirement.
Last year I tried to request SCB to lower the CL of my JustOne Titanium MC to RM1k, but the CS indicated that the lowest CL they could adjust for a Titanium card is until RM15k. However towards last year end, some forummers informed that they were given a CL of RM3k only for their newly approved SCB Platinum cards.
Oh no, I am experiencing this problem exactly. The RM50 service tax was charged last week and I utilised my 10,000 choice points to offset it, knowing that I will be given 11,000 choice points if I swipe my JustOne cc for 3 times of any amount in June. I tested paying a small RM10 bill online using JustOne cc. The transaction has been successful but no cash rebate was given.
When SCB VI was opened to public last time, the customer service told me minimum income to qualify is RM150,000
per annum and minimum CL offered is RM60K. My application on the SCB VI was approved with CL of RM70K. Well, if compared with my CIMB WORLD MasterCard, at the time it was launched last year, the minimum CL CIMB offered is
RM100K based on the minimum income of RM240K. That's why when EON Bank launched the VISA Signature Card, minimum CL only RM40K is very low compare with CIMB or SCB on their " beyond platinum " card. If EON Bank starts giving min RM40K CL to the public, what kind of standard are we looking at " beyond platinum" cards ? Later on, someone will claim to have much lower limit on the Visa Signature.
Surprisingly, nowadays banks like SCB is downgrading their Platinum Card status to Classic Card status by giving low CL RM1K to RM3K. It seems that SCB are so desperate in getting customers. Do you know that, 15 years ago almost all
banks offering minimum CL of RM15K for Gold Credit Card and minimum RM5K for the Classic Card. But now, you can't get that kind of minimum CL these days. What can you do with a RM3K platinum cards nowadays especially those who travel overseas and for entertainment and business expenses.
