Wow.... EON Bank Visa Signature!
The card design is cool....
Minimum requirement income RM180,000 per annum.
Dont know what is the minimum CL for this card?
*
If you click on the application requirement for Visa Signature in the EON Bank website, existing other bank cardholder
for at least one year with a minimum CREDIT LINE of RM40,000 and a copy of the other bank credit card front and back.
That mean, the minimum credit limit for the Visa Signature is only RM40,000. Very low. Even my Amex Gold Credit Card credit limit is much higher that that. What sort of Visa Signature is that ? A "beyond Platinum " status with a Gold credit card limit ? hmm.gif

I have no idea about the minimum CL of SCB VI. But one thing I am very sure is that, when SCB VI was open to the public last time, they could easily grant you a 6-figure CL if you really meet the income requirement.
Last year I tried to request SCB to lower the CL of my JustOne Titanium MC to RM1k, but the CS indicated that the lowest CL they could adjust for a Titanium card is until RM15k. However towards last year end, some forummers informed that they were given a CL of RM3k only for their newly approved SCB Platinum cards.
Oh no, I am experiencing this problem exactly. The RM50 service tax was charged last week and I utilised my 10,000 choice points to offset it, knowing that I will be given 11,000 choice points if I swipe my JustOne cc for 3 times of any amount in June. I tested paying a small RM10 bill online using JustOne cc. The transaction has been successful but no cash rebate was given.
*
When SCB VI was opened to public last time, the customer service told me minimum income to qualify is RM150,000
per annum and minimum CL offered is RM60K. My application on the SCB VI was approved with CL of RM70K. Well, if compared with my CIMB WORLD MasterCard, at the time it was launched last year, the minimum CL CIMB offered is
RM100K based on the minimum income of RM240K. That's why when EON Bank launched the VISA Signature Card, minimum CL only RM40K is very low compare with CIMB or SCB on their " beyond platinum " card. If EON Bank starts giving min RM40K CL to the public, what kind of standard are we looking at " beyond platinum" cards ? Later on, someone will claim to have much lower limit on the Visa Signature.

Surprisingly, nowadays banks like SCB is downgrading their Platinum Card status to Classic Card status by giving low CL RM1K to RM3K. It seems that SCB are so desperate in getting customers. Do you know that, 15 years ago almost all
banks offering minimum CL of RM15K for Gold Credit Card and minimum RM5K for the Classic Card. But now, you can't get that kind of minimum CL these days. What can you do with a RM3K platinum cards nowadays especially those who travel overseas and for entertainment and business expenses. hmm.gif

I suppose they just want to get as many people as possible to apply for the card hence the lower requirement/standard. The government service tax on credit card doesn't help either.
Won't be too surprised if classic card disappear from the Malaysian market completely in the next few years just as it already happened in Singapore. Anyway, this trend started in USA many years ago. Even my cousin who is barely 20 years old already has a VISA Platinum credit card from Citibank  laugh.gif

I just received my new Citibank Cash Back Platinum Card from Poslaju yesterday.
I noticed some unsatisfied features comes with this card. The normal generic Citi Platinum card (annual fee RM600) comes with the standard platinum letter with the Platinum Priority Hotline (03-2838 1010). But, this new cash back platinum card comes with the normal welcome letter like the gold and classic cards.

There's no Platinum Priority Line (03-2383 1010) indicated in this letter. Only the normal 24hr Citiphone Banking (03-2383 0000) for the Cash Back Platinum members to call in. When I try to call the automated Platinum Priority Line, only my other two normal VISA and MasterCard Platinum account is listed in the voiced automated service but not for this cash back account.

The CL is sharing 50% of my existing normal Citi Platinum cards. The so called "platinum exclusive" only provides complimentary Retail Protection Plan, 24hrs Personal Concierge Service and discounted Healthcare from KPJ Hospitals. Annual fee Rm195 per year. I don't think this cash back card is a TRUE platinum card. It's very similar to a gold credit card with the word " PLATINUM" print on it.

Further I noticed, cash back will be automatically credited into one's account when the accumulated cash back for a particular month reaches RM50. Otherwise, the cash back will be carried forward to the following month. And I was not informed earlier by the Citi salesperson when applying the card. I don't experience this hassle on my other rebate cards.

Anybody noticed this? Thank you.

It has been clearly stated in the T&Cs that cash back will only be reflected when it reaches RM50.

With such a low income requirement, what do you expect from this card? Just like Amex Gold cc, I don't expect it provides me more except additional points which can be converted into cash rebates. And now, I am still happy with my Amex Gold cc as my main concern for this card is the MR points only.
*
Same as me too. Amex Gold CC still the best in MR points. And its free for life.

Three cards from Citibank ? Wow ! You're a big Citibank fan   laugh.gif
I did see this clause in their website. It is a tactic very well known to Citigroup. Many of its units such as Citibank NA and Citibank Singapore have been practicing this for a very long time.

Bro @Centurion

Don't expect too much la. I don't much of a problem regarding the dedicated phone number unless you need to call Citibank everyday or every hour.

50% shared CL is also not a big deal ... I mean do you use all of your credit limit every month ? I'm quite sure even for a normal person with presumably low CL ... hitting 50% your full credit limit is also a challenge. (Unless one load so much debt into their cc then this is another story)

They already stated upfront that cash back will be credited once it reaches RM50. It is stated in the website, email and form - unless one did not read the T&C.

Gotcha, bro. Thanks.

It's not yet published in their website yet , i get the application form from treatsfair (today is last day) , and it was fine printed on the application form, the card is very frequent flyer tailored. Yes you can apply for it , it is not by invitation only. biggrin.gif

I agree with you. I was at the Mid Valley Maybank Treat Fair yesterday. The new Maybankard World MasterCard is already open to public to apply. To apply, they need your photocopy World MasterCard from other bank and your IC. Annual fee RM1000 and RM1500. No 1st year waiver. They asked a copy of my CIMB World MasterCard and IC to process the application and the new card will be issued in 1 hours. CL will be given the same as my other bank CL. I didn't apply due to the annual fee charged for 1st year. I was surprised, CIMB has their Enrich World MasterCard which is strictly on invitation gives 1st year annual fee waiver on the RM888, where MBB is charging the fee and start to open to public to apply.

Apparently all RHB Bank Premier Banking customers will now be issued a complimentary VISA Platinum credit card.
RHB Bank Singapore is very much a sleeping bank  laugh.gif  And they do not offer any credit card in Singapore. Since CIMB Bank is so eager to tackle the Singaporean market, i wonder why they they do not try to buy RHB Bank's Singapore business over (RHB Bank has 7 branches there)hmm.gif
*
I just called up RHB Visa Infinite Priority Hotline, the CS told me the RHB Visa Infinite Card is not open for public. Only open for invitation for those who have large deposit in Premier Banking. They don't even invite existing RHB Visa Platinum to upgrade. Only reserved for Premier Banking. hmm.gif

Just doing daily transaction with Original Visa Plat their provide until now get upgrading. For guys info, i do not own more than 250k in RHB, so dont know why im getting this card. Just daily usage around RM5k cos im doing business payment. But priority banking service still prefer HSBC or CTbank.

I didnt apply rhb card in singapore. How come Malaysian go oversea apply Malaysian Local bank?? Surely getting Visa Signature la.. just have a look my card benefit https://www.citibank.com.sg/SGGCB/APPS/port...iv_visasign.htm
more or less i could easily to get priority card in malaysia right.. is command sen.. But why y y y ... HSBC and ctb malaysia absolutely make me disappointed.

Anyway, one a day, i will cut their card into half !!!

I agree some of the info given by the CS is not accurate when I check with RHB. Most of these cards upgrading or conversion is being done by another department. By the way, how many years have you been a RHB Visa Plat before they upgrade your card? Any annual fee charged for the 1st year? If yes, how much is the annual fee ? Thanks. smile.gif
