that is da prob. the cooling fan for
this version of laptop is located in the
deepest section.
u need to unsrew everything
to clean the fan oni...

for the temps, my lappy alot cool than before.
i assume da temp is 5x less than before.
i feel the temp thru the air flow with my hand and i smile alone.
my mod is working!!
or maybe because i cleaned the dust....

intel pentium 60 degree,
hdd 53 degree,
apci 62.
this is after temp, at night. in a room

my mistake is, i didnt measure the temp before the modding..

but what i can say, the hole 100% effective and iam proud of it~ thumbup.gif

yo! ayam also got compaq v3000 & guess what i've done to dis mobile toaster? i cut da whole ventilated section at da back & now it became a big hole..haha.. i dun no what to do to cooldown my lappy temp.. before dis i've mod da heatsink fan & make it run at full speed & u know its sound (plus it was a delta fan tongue.gif ) realy noisy.. fuhh.. after done dis modification, da temperature only drop bout 2-3 degree.normaly it was around 80+ something when idle.but after mod,it's drop below 80.. seems like useless modification eh.. sweat.gif

I've drill some hole in the gpu part and add a aluminum plate to prevent from dust.. the exhaust hole also cut to bigger hole and the temp is : GPU 66c, HDD 39c, temp 1&2 is 32-35c, cpu is 52c. using speed fan to measure. and i using coolermaster thermalfusion 400... works fine and cooler than most v3000 laptop..

i just modded the circuitboard for the fan.. the fan is running in full speed now.. drop temp alot. but harm to the cooling fan n i think this is worth coz to sacrifice a fan thn the whole motherboard..

It trap the heat there to avoid the heat to contact the mobo directly..
