Hi,

There are tonnes of examples online. Browse through them. But i would suggest that you describe your role in a short and precise manner. This is to ensure the reader understand what you really do.

eg.

Perform cleanliness audit on restaurants and eating stalls.

Good luck.

Yes. For fresh graduates...internship do help, but need not list all your jobscope whle being intern. Curriculum activities & achievements during college/ uni do help too. Short experience like being a promoter over a weekend, whilst ur applying for a financial job do not earn you brownie points...IMHO

Put it in ur CV..Cover letter is the way you tell your future employer about yourself...All details put it in your CV...
If not, then ur cover letter will be like essay/novel smile.gif

you're in design field, you may also do bullet points to state your experiences. its not wrong to write a short essay but i will prefer simpler one, by listing experience in which company, duration of work, job scopes, client, and etc.

Even though this was posted almost 5 years ago, I thank you.

It's strange, though, that while the author stressed on the importance of proof-reading your work for mistakes in grammar, punctuation and spelling, I found several typos and missing words in the document. Maybe scanning problems? hmm.gif

Scanning wouldn't rendered the typographical errors and missing words, right? Maybe some half baked documents, perhaps? I doubt the scanning causing all these awkward occurrences.

I'm a final year, final semester Accounting and Finance undergrad student who is applying to various financial institutions, banks, investment banks, investment houses, fund management firms, consulting firms/groups and such for Graduate Programmes or a fresh-grad job.

Graduate Programmes are common in this line and caters for freshies who are just out from college/uni. However, they close their application dates really early (especially Australian firms/banks). Like for 2011 intakes, they already almost closed all their applications. I hope to make it in time for a few.

Should I send in a resume or a cv? I have had 7 months experience in working as a Barista, 2 months internship in Auditing in PricewaterhouseCoopers and 2 months internship in Islamic Capital Markets in Securities Commission Malaysia.

CV or Resume? I know the difference between the two but am trying to figure out which is more appropriate. I read the employers from the Middle East, Africa and Asia usually prefer CVs, while the rest of the world prefer resumes. As a fresh grad, I think they might prefer my CV? Please advice me.

If you don't know the difference between the two, please do not advice me. Thank you and have a good day wink.gif

I have a doubt in preparing my resume. I have a plan to pursue my master postgraduate program and now is still under application status. Just wondering do I need to include inside my resume and if yes which area should I put in?

Let's say I'm sending my resume and cover letter in email (PDF). Is it ok to leave my cover letter unsigned? Or is it a must to scan my signature and put it in?
