Hi guys, I might be attending the upcoming job fair at Mid Valley. Do I need to bring a cover letter? If so any advice on how to write it? It's slightly confusing as I might be attending interviews with multiple companies.

just would like to ask,
i work work 4 months and resign..
does it recommend of not putting such working experience in my resume?
so that..when i go to interview...they will treat me as fresh graduate and no experience...

IMO, you just put your experience in your resume. If not, they will ask you what you do during 4 months and if you said you do nothing or jobhunting, that may indicate that you are lazy and unproductive. Just prepare with some good answer if your upcoming interviewers ask you why do you left the job after 4 months of working.

I don't recommend you to do so. Instead put your name in bold. biggrin.gif

Hi all. I am writing a resume for my internship in the next 4 months. I know that I should be writing down all the skills I possessed.

My question is: Should I write the skills I gained back when I was a secondary school student? ie: Scouts

Also, would it contribute to my resume if I write that I am an active runner? I dont really have much things to write in resume though.

You can write, but if you're going to join as a sport company only they will read through, otherwise they just ignore that part. Write more computer skills better than hobby lol.

When will your internship start?

There are intern seasons where companies will start to mass recruit interns during particular months in the year and will be arranged by your own college/universities. If you don't belong to this category, I suggest that you apply first and let them get back to you. But follow up some time to know your status. And keep your options open as well.

If not, try to look for their internship opening in websites. Some companies will open for application all year round, but only screen application on particular months.

I used to have an Intern who working with me, he applied to enter my company on June. They only got back to him somewhere around November. Since he did apply half one semester early, he got it in time and enjoyed his experience here.

So it really differs company to company.

Guys, soft skills like communication, team-work etc. are almost always a requirement for every job. So how would you guys go about including it in your resume? Thx

Answer the question of why should they hire you instead of other people. Structure it properly. Error free English. Perfect format.

If you are a fresh grad, you should provide some examples on how you've demonstrated the skills during your tertiary education to justify each soft skill that you possess.

Hi,

Under the awards and achievements part of your CV,

is it advisable to top up your academic and sports achievements with medals from the e-sport arena such as DotA?

My argument would be that it'll show that you are able to excel in both the academic and non academic field.

Please advice.

thanks.
