Hi there, I got a question here,
one of my family member had just placed order for the new 3 series, 320d and it's supposed to be CBU, but the sales person told us that the CBU car will be arriving around April or May. Why so long ?

because before that, we went to another BMW dealer and the salesman there said there's only one colour left and we didnt really like that colour so we didnt take it, but the sales person at that dealership said that if we took that one, we will be able to get that car by end of March or early April.

and I've once read at paultan, about this one person with almost same situation but with the 5 series F10

This is what the guy said:

What are your guys opinion ? Do you think this sales person ( the one who said car would arrive around may or april) trying to do the same thing like that ?

yeah really fishy

anyone here also booked the new 3 series CBU ? did the salesman told you when will you be receiving the car?

or had anyone here already receive and driving your new 3 series ?

Yeah, that family member owned an e90 320i, and he said the handling and driving experience totally blew the last gen out of water.

I was there too actually but i didnt drive it, just sat on the back seat and i can say the leg room is freakin huge, bigger than an audi A4 and totally bigger than last gen 3 series. And it feels a little bit more comfy than e90 when car is cruising on highway

Interior design for the 320d is nice as well, can choose either black or beige or the interior, but on the downside there's no sat nav for the i Drive and no Heads Up Display.

I'm still waiting for someone else here who had booked 320d, i want to know when will you be getting the car

Really ? probably because those people are over 6 foot tall or something, i'm 5'11 and i think the leg room is more than enough for me.
or maybe those people are too used to large cars like s class or 7 series leg room

even the f30's front passenger and driver seat feels more wider than e90

dayum the e60 gotta be the most beautiful BMW ever created

the f10 seems like a step back in terms of design imo, especially the headlamps design

haha yeah i meant all e60 in general, but your pic is the reason why is said that, cause your e60 looks so nice in that pic

One of my family member is planning on buying the f30 320d too, he already booked for the CBU unit, but after long consideration he finally decided to wait for CKD instead, due to better specs and maybe a bit cheaper price.

I'm actually quite okay with the CBU f30 320d spec, but one thing i cannot stand are those cheap looking 17" rims

Really the difference is that huge ? What stuffs from the e90 320d that werent in the f30 320d ? only navigation right ?

Yeah that's the reason why he wants CBU in the first place, quality is better. In my house there's one CKD e90 320i, always cause problem, one time the rear passenger power window wont go back up...really? power window problem in BMW ? like Proton only

but i guess he's willing to forgo that for better specs..

not sure about modern line, but since CBU they didnt bring in any modern lines, so i assuming they wont bring any for CKD too.

haha yeah but that's probably gonna happen bro if you get CKD,
but first 3 years or so probably going to be problem free, that e90 in my house is almost 4 years old already, that's why got few problems sometimes...

Just think like this, the extra bucks you pay for CBU is for quality assurance but have to sacrifice specs la

BTW 328i nice, can smoke all those Golf GTI

Still no news on the CKD F30 launch date + price?
