QUOTE(cracksys @ Sep 8 2010, 02:20 PM) left side driving? Yep. Feels bad mang, but again e-p0n0s increase by 1 inch in real life when people see its Left hand drive what problem exactly? what engine capacity? if 328, of course drink petrol in city driving. I also don't know what is the problem because lack of BMW mechanics in my area. It is just a 320i. |

QUOTE(sakurakinomoto @ Sep 8 2010, 09:22 AM) I still haven't get my car to be fixed T_T The car costs you RM1k only? Expensive??? I regret buying this car. Very expensive cost me 1k. Problems after problem and hard to be fixed in this area. Not to mention the fuel consumption is extravagant. Probably something broke and it started to drink. Here's the problem. Fuel and temperature meter broke, and probably some indicator lights ![]() Brake electric fail, practically all the brake lights failed. ![]() Don't know what to do. |

QUOTE(DaBestOne @ Sep 8 2010, 05:06 PM) The guy said 1k, he didn't say RM 1k.Also notice that it's left hand drive and it has km/h not mph in the speedo so it's in Europe most likely. It's an E36 (if I remember) based on the auto transmission gear stick so it's at least 11-12 years old. So 1k euros while cheap by Malaysian standards is about right (UK prices I think around 500-1500 pounds?) |

^ You are amazing
Actually that car came from Holland. The previous owner said it brought a lot of misfortune to him. So he want to quickly sold it off before going back to Holland. As a good kind sir, I took his offer of RM1k only. That car went through a lot of sad past. A lot of inexperience mechanics handled that car, by the time I received that car, its in a terrible condition, alarm stripped off, no central locking, radio busted. The owner did not read the manual provided with the car. So one day he jump start the car directly from the battery. When he drove back the hood emit black smoke, from there sure something blew but do not know which. Any idea? This post has been edited by sakurakinomoto: Sep 8 2010, 10:59 PM |

Even if u take it for 1k, spend 15-20k restoring it..its still a profit at your end! |

that's the prefacelift e36, year 92-95
1k is dirt cheap, but LHD are priced really low here. who want to buy with the hassle of overtaking in trunk roads and paying tolls? but of course E36 are nice cars. you got the entry level 6 cylinder 320i |

QUOTE(sakurakinomoto @ Sep 8 2010, 10:07 PM) ^ You are amazing First- I would 1) Change the battery to see if it erase the lights on the dash.Actually that car came from Holland. Any idea? 2nd- Bring it for a full fluid change- Oil, Coolant. 3rd- Fuel gauge & temp- Check the fuse & relay to see if its faulty- Your profile says you are in Miri- I recommend you to drive your car to Brunei- As Brunei(BSB) has more BMW specialist & computer tools to diagnose your problems. 4th- The brake light- If it has rear lights- & the message appears- It's the brake light switch needs changing.Nothing serious. |

QUOTE(z928328 @ Sep 10 2010, 08:29 PM) First- I would 1) Change the battery to see if it erase the lights on the dash. 1) Did that already. Dashboard no problem but then the fuel and temp still not working, so off to 3)2nd- Bring it for a full fluid change- Oil, Coolant. 2) IIRC, did so already 3) Wanted to already, that's the most suspicious place where it can get faulty lol. And yes I do know brunei has more BMW specialist since they bring in BMW as well, but I do not know Brunei well. 4) Brake electric failed. Entire brakes light isn't working, except for 3rd brake light. Oh yeah one more input, apparently the fuel and temp gauge failed with the brake electric. Wonder why. Maybe because of fuse. Happens after I cross a bump. |
