QUOTE(tishaban @ Aug 29 2011, 05:40 PM)
So again from what I read everything will be turbocharged with the F30 3-series from the start.

320i = inline-4 turbo, 184hp/270Nm, 0-100 in 7.4 seconds
328i = inline-4 turbo at higher tune 245hp/350Nm, 0-100 in ~6 seconds
335i = inline-6 turbo 300hp/400Nm 0-100 in ~5 seconds

There will probably no longer be a 323i or 330i. The higher end will be turbo V8 and the lower end below the 320i like the 316i and 318i will be turbo inline-3 (Kancil's cousin? biggrin.gif )

The F10 5-series will probably follow very quickly, abandoning the non-turbo inline-6 for turbo inline-4 engines.

Looks like there will be a big gap between 320i and 328i if there is no more 323i/325i.

I believe most E63 630i cars, if not all are using the N52 engine which has a magnesium and aluminum crankcase.
I think the M54 was never used in the 630i.

If you want the 320d with i-drive, it's more than RM200K for sure. Maybe you can also consider 2005/06 325i which is petrol based?

can we get better interest rates from the banks for a recon bmw?

Auto Bavaria offer 1% (5y) and 2.2% (7y) for their own sales.

That's what's been announced so far, there's probably going to be more turbo engines with different tunes to fit into the series.

But heck, wouldn't you enjoy having a car that's more responsive than the E90 325i at the same price of a E90 320i? biggrin.gif

320d 90% loan 7 years monthly rm2.4k.

not bad for youngsters who want to own a BMW. But f30 series will be coming soon. When F30 reach here, it may takes a while for the new diesel turboengine to arrive.

F10 520d costs 333k. Roughly around 70k difference. Not a bad deal though.

Hi guys, is there anything wrong with my car when it vibrates when braking? My car is 320i, I'm on the highway, and when I do medium braking due to traffic in front, i can feel my car vibrates. Is there anything wrong with the rotor?

Thanks in advance

if im not mistaken its like the one i have the e60.

when they first launched they had lots of probs with it as it was their "technological flagship" or something like that

anyway according to the consumer affairs database, the 7 series is the worst in terms of reliability and the 3 series is, on the average the most reliable in BMW's lineup.

the most common problem with BMW's are electrical in nature- problems with the navigation system, central computer module, anti-lock brake system, window motors, wiper motors, lock switch relays and so on. Other common non-electrical problems include, leaking engine seals, crankshaft failure, rear differential failure and various smaller items like faulty fuel pumps and powersteering pumps.

Wow... looking at your list it's like BMW is really so unreliable... I'm still in doubt to get one E90 ...

the list is just stating what are the common problems when a bmw has a problem la. Its not saying that all BMW's are unreliable sweat.gif

btw don't worry the newer e90's should be good. Unless its the e90 335i that had a prob with the high pressure fuel pump and a lot got recalled.

but one thing is for sure, if you get a bmw, you'll enjoy the quality of the ride thumbup.gif
