I already have a normal car my 3 series, why would i buy a satria? Im looking for a weekend car fun to drive yet cheap and reliable.

Added on May 4, 2010, 3:53 pmactually padanKia u dont know anything, why dont u troll somewhere else k. I open the thread asking for nicely. I didnt expect any rude answers from u.
Im a Doctor, a general surgeon to be specific and I work with the goverment so i dont have enough to buy a new 1. Why Would i buy a new one coz most ot these types of cars, usually for used car have low milage and are still in tip top condition. I dont mind recond or used car. I wanted an elise for its Handling, weekend sports car,not to show off or anything.
I may not make as much money as you do, but plz dont look down on others.

Ignore that troll. He's not worth your time arguing. Have you considered other alternative like an 2nd gen Miata/MX-5?. Apparently British considered as spiritual successor of Lotus Elan.

the rover engine is 'lighter' but its 1.6L. engine mechanical parts were very cheap & easily available in UK. ONe of the better solution to weekend track day enthusiast in UK. (U Play & U pay - easy on your pocket)

The toyota engines are a lot more durable, newer in design (over the rover)
both the 1zz & 2zz > K series rover engines. do a bit of massage on the engine, they are livelier & just as fun. its just that most malaysian S2 elise dont get enough access to those juicy bits as easily as the overseas chaps with the exception to tengku djan's elise S2.

Evora? man they get the new toyota 2GR engines. (goggle them).

I know one reason Lotus chose Toyota engine is to pass US emission regulation to sell it there after the demise of Rover. Lotus Europa on the other hand uses GM engine.

you right there, lotus europa began as a proton's concept/possible entry into "sports car"

But it ended up in Norfolk with a Lotus badge instead.

I know. So?
