Just chiming in. I used to be pretty heavy into PC's (I have a worklog in LYN of a watercooled tri-SLI rig I built in '09) but now I've switched over to Mac's.

Here's what I've got going so far, and sorry for the poor picture quality, despite all of the Apple products, my phone is a Blackberry Bold 2 which is actually quite a bit more useful for my three main email accounts.

iMac 27" Core i7
Apple Thunderbolt Display (27-inch)
Macbook Air 11" Core i7
iPad
iPad 2

I've got the iPad Mini and iPad Retina as well, but they are not in this shot.

Cheers!

time to buy a new camera bro biggrin.gif i love your setup. MBA 11" + thunderbolt display, i could really really use that haha

hehe, the camera on the BB sucks, it disappoints me greatly. I actually spend quite a bit of time doing photography, so I suppose it's not that I need a new camera, just need to take it with me instead of relying on my phone.

unrelated, but here's my camera setup:

It's a Nikon D2X with a Nikon 70-200 2.8 and SB900 Flash connected to an external battery pack. That setup actually is impractical, as you would never use a flash on such a long lens unless you had some type of magnifier like a fresnel. Anyways, it's pretty impractical to lug that around.

I actually plug my MBA into a 27" Samsung LED that serves as a dedicated monitor for the MBA. The thunderbolt display is exclusively used for the iMac.
Also, the laptop power cord off of the external thunderbolt display is not compatible with my MBA. How retarded is that?

The new iMac looks pretty sweet, so I suppose I should get a good look at that soon. I'm sure some of you Apple lovers will be all over that eh?
I still think PC's with Windows are a more powerful and robust office tool when compared to Mac's, but the hardware on a Mac is stunning.

yeah, i just set it up to try and throw as much as I could on it, to see how crazy it would look. you can imagine how much that thing weighs - the ball head on the tripod kept loosening up causing the lens to drop downward.

hmm, never thought of getting an adapter...not a bad idea actually.

to be honest, i use the 27" thunderbolt as second screen for the imac, so i haven't had the need to connect it up to the mba.

I'm still a bit of a noob when it comes to Mac OSX. I really like the multi-touch on the trackpad though, it absolutely rocks. But as far as the file system management - Windows is still better.

But the hardware on these Mac's is just too amazing to pass up.
