Hii to all forumers,

I plan to buy a unit of Imac with i7 processor.

the question is :

1) could this unit use the normal RAM that use in PC (macbook pro can use a RAM that is use on PC)

2) can it use a usb mouse instead of magix mouse / trackpad

3) can it use a harddrive for PC.

1) can. they use SODIMMs though, the notebook type not the desktop type

2) any mouse can work. for special features of the mouse (on the fly DPI change and whatnot), u have to look at the manufacturers website if they have a driver for macs or not. but other that the special features (normal click, moving the cursor, scrolling etc) would still work as normal

3) yes, but again, they use 2.5"... the notebook kind, not desktop one

Really nice setups that can be seen in this thread...

BTW I'm quite new to the Mac scene and am actually looking for mStand laptop stand by Rain Design (http://raindesigninc.com/mstand.html). I heard they used to be available in Machines but when I asked the guys there, they always seem to give me that blank look on their faces.

Anyone knows if mStand is available anywhere in KL?

to use "special" torrent site like th3pir4t3b4y....you need to set your own DNS (i dono if its legal to share here, but you can google it) because TM do block those famous torrent site using their DNS.
