got the Farmina N&D Lamb, blueberry extracts, green tea for RM 80 plus plus if i remembered, for 2.5 kgs bags. Yes it is quite new in the market.

My dogs are always with other high protein brand before.

This food so far so good for my labs, being trying for almost a month. They become less itchy as I didnt see they scratch as often as before.

Hello everyone, did anyone ever use proplan dog food?
I had a 15kg proplan savor dog food, is filled with maggots by only 2 months of purchased.

Just got the Purina representative to come and exchange to a new bag of the same type of dog food, but I am phobia to open it up again.

Have anyone experience this before? I search online, and seems like this problem occurs since years ago!

Any dog food come to Malaysia with such humidity weather will have chances to attract maggots lol.
Depending on how the dog food packed as well and what ingredients in it. You can try to get grain free pet food.
Less chances, due to no grains.

Totally a waste of protein and money down the drain if your dog is not a performance dog or a pregnant dog.
I am not saying those brand producing high protein meal is no good, but they should at least teach the market how to classified what level of protein suitable for what kinds of dogs. If you can search for human's recommended consumption of nutrition like salt intake, protein, water, etc.... why not search for recommended dog's intake for nutrition as well. google it. http://www.peteducation.com/article.cfm?c=2+1659&aid=702

It is a high protein breeder pack dog food right? with 32% protein. Looks too high for adult dog.

From what i have read before, it is not recommended to feed large breed pups with too high protein content diet... High protein diet would encourage growth spurts which is what we want to avoid in large breeds as they are more prone to hip dysplasia...
Also if your dog does not do daily vigorous or high energy activities, its not recommended to gv high protein diet as they wont need to burn that much of calories, some dogs may end up having skin problems due to too much protein...
Usually protein content btwn 21-28% should be sufficient for regular activity dog...
Hope this helps u... smile.gif

Very true, my vet told me the same thing.
My recommendation you can try Natural Balance, Taste of the wild, Addiction. These are the good brands that my dogs having.

I would to let my puppy toy poodle change new dog food, currently she is eating Canine Tribute from Japan. Is pretty rare to find it in our country, and expensive, 2.7kg @Rm120

I'm looking for similar price range dog food for her. Currently shortlisted Canagan form UK and Farmina N&D. Any comments on these 2 dog food?

Is anyone tried Canine Tribute before? How is it compare with Canagan and Farmina N&D.

Thanks.

Farmina N&D is currently the hottest news everywhere in Europe. and they just entered USA. very powerful product, price also powderful biggrin.gif They are one of the brand that dare to declare the actual % of meat included and uses very high quality hydro protein.

Fresh herring (26%), dehydrated herring (25%), potatoes, fish oil, dehydrated whole eggs, fibre vegetable of peas, dried carrots, dried alfalfa, inulin, fructooligosaccharides, mannanoligosaccharides, dehydrated sweet orange (0.5%), dehydrated apple, pomegranate powder, spinach powder, psyllium (0.3%), powdered blackcurrant, powdered blueberries, sodium chloride, dried brewer’s yeast, turmeric root (0.2%), glucosamine, chondroitin sulphate, Marigold extract (source of lutein).

I saw this in Penang, Orijen 6 Fish RM400++ vs Farmina N&D Fish and orange RM 340++
Last Orijen price was below RM360 before the USD shoot up and price increase. Hopefully Euro do not. icon_rolleyes.gif

Is there a specific brand breeder always like to promote? I don't want to mention brand name but they always push me to get that brand when I purchase a pure bred from them.
