no, it's called "server emulator".
a program which acts like a server, the function is to make the game believing that you are accessing the real server online on internet.
the server will try to read your game and if your game does not have valid activation, you won't be able to save or load the game, thus won't be able to play the game. With this "server emulator", you do not need access the real website thus skipping the "activation" every time you want to save and load the game.

hmm... but i also heard a proper crack come out dy for those dunwan use the emulator. But still got certain people complain bout the crack and stick back to the emulator
