Ozil  said this about 2 years ago

''It's a big honour for me that such a great club like Manchester United wanted to buy me. But their offer came in too late - a day before the window closed - and I had already given Bremen my word.

is Vidic not happy at Man Utd? because I keep reading reports from many soccer websites Barcelona Real Madrid or even Man City want him.

Man City does not have Champions League football and they are gunning for every best players, do they not measure whats the length of their shirt and what size of food they should eat? Its a joke, that club.

It seems like one of his 'agent' always involved in the story of him leaving, while the other would deny it a while later. Not sure if the former is his real agent or not.

United's Zoran Tosic has been sold to CSKA Moscow for an undisclosed fee.

The left winger, currently on World Cup duty for Serbia, has signed a five-year contract with the Russian club.

He leaves the Reds after making just five substitute appearances for the first team in one and a half seasons.

Seems like Glazer's are out of money, borrowed heavily from United, so looks like United players are a easy target now hmm.gif

Owen pleased with progress

QUOTE
Michael Owen is confident he will be ready to play a full part in Manchester United's pre-season plans.

The experienced striker has been out of action since suffering a hamstring injury in the Carling Cup final on 28th February.

That setback, which required an operation, sidelined him for the remainder of the 2009/10 campaign and ended any hope he had of forcing his way into England's World Cup squad.

The former Liverpool, Real Madrid and Newcastle forward has, however, been working hard in his rehabilitation and is closing in on full fitness once more.

Owen is pleased with the progress he has made over recent weeks and believes he will be ready to join in with the rest of the United squad when they return to training after the summer break.

"We are not in until the 5th July, that's when everyone's in, but I have been working through June because it would be nice if I could start and do everything with the team straight away," he told Sky Sports News.

"It's looking so far that I will be able to do that.

"Hopefully I won't miss any pre-season training, as it's always nice to get a full pre-season in. I am working hard at the minute."

Heaton agrees Cardiff move

QUOTE
Cardiff City have agreed a deal to sign United goalkeeper Tom Heaton on 1 July.

The 24-year-old will join the Bluebirds, who narrowly lost out in last month's Championship Playoff final against Blackpool, when his current Reds contract lapses.

Heaton made 21 appearances with Cardiff during a 2008/09 loan spell, and manager Dave Jones is relishing the former England youth international's return.

"We all know about the lad from his time on loan here and know that we have signed a very talented young player who can offer plenty of competition for (David) Marshall in goal," Jones told Cardiff's official club website.

"We look forward to seeing him for pre-season training and know that we have a real prospect for years to come."

Heaton will leave Old Trafford on the eighth anniversary of signing professional forms with the club. He never made a senior appearance for United, but has sampled first-team football on loan at Swindon Town, Cardiff, QPR, Rochdale and Wycombe Wanderers.

Everyone at ManUtd.com would like to wish Tom all the best with his new club.

Manchester United Given Green Light to Consider Move for £30m Arch Rival: Brazilian Star Open to Old Trafford Move

QUOTE
Manchester United given green light to make shock move for Robinho as the Brazilian is rumoured to be interested in joining the Old Trafford club. The Eastlands striker has spent the last six months on loan to Santos and appears unlikely to be returning to his current employers and has been linked with moves to a number of clubs including Real Madrid and AC Milan but it is rumoured that the 26 year old would jump at the chance of a move to City’s near neighbours if the chance arose.

It seems unlikely that Roberto Mancini would allow such a move but at the same time could well simply accept the highest bid for the attacker and if that came from Sir Alex Ferguson then he would surely have to consider such an offer.

Ferguson has been linked with moves for a number of strikers as he looks to add more attacking options to help share the load that is currently being overly burdened on Wayne Rooney. Dimitar Berbatov may well be on his way out and Michael Owen is a constant injury doubt.

It is unknown as to how much of the original £30m outlay Mancini would expect for Robinho but one would imagine a deal in the region of £20m would be accepted and the one question would be whether Sir Alex is interested in making such a move and whether the heavily indebted club can afford to bring in a big money signing this summer.

but in other way a bit happy because in other side his fitness condition for next season will be great. nice to see only evra, vidic, park, and rooney feature their national team's starting XI *with carrick and chicarito didn't start

chelsea in contrast has almost all of their starting XI are regular players of their national team.

If it was money problem, we wouldn't have spent 18m on Valencia, or those spend close to 10m on Obertan, Chicharito, Smalling, Diouf etc each.

Best move for everyone. Although he didn't get that many chances(only a few sub appearances?), but it wouldn't be because SAF have something against him. Good skillful player, but probably a player of his type wasn't what we needed after seeing what he can do daily in training. Or he/coaching staff thought he wasn't good enough. Not to mention we have plenty of options down there.

Nani, Valencia, Park, Obertan
Giggs, Cleverly..
