I plan to get Asus A42JV by the end of this week. Hope not much downside abt this model.
Anyway, what is the recommended cooler pad out there?
Does Asus A42JV capable of running games like SC2 & Crysis at 1920x1080?

QUOTE(eugenechiuu @ Jul 28 2010, 12:02 AM) A42Jv can last 3 hours on battery saving mode if u just do web browsing.. Wow, 1 n half hour only on movie??? Was the HD Movie or smth? I can still do more than 2 hours on youtube... @xXwasabiXx , unless you wanna play ur game on an external LCD, no point setting a game to Full HD resolutions anyways.. Yes, i intend to play game via HDMI connecting to 32" LCD TV (Full HD) Any problem playing game that way? Any recommended setting to play? In game - all default... or I might need to lower down the in-game video setting & effects.

QUOTE(ROM_star @ Jul 29 2010, 11:29 AM) Usually Intel card dun get much updated like ATI or Nvidia. i m using the company's laptop with intel card and last update was 2008. lol. Last nite plug A4JV to 50" HD LCD tv with HDMI, the gaming experience is "WOW" Smooth? How about the sound, from TV as well? The sound from A4JV is very very bad. BTW, abt laptop keyboard protected (i think like silicon type). I heard its not good for your laptop screen. It can leave a stain on the screen... stain that is tough to remove. Is this fact true?

Hi guyz,
Earlier I transfer a movie from external HDD into the laptop (A42JV).
The transfer rate is arguably slow about 15MB/sec (via USB). USB average transfer should be within 25-30MB/sec.
Also tested transfer via Gigabit Network also around 15MB/sec.... slowww!
Any the same owner here experience the same thing? Need your guyz feedback on this.
@ROM_star: Ehe, what game u play first of all? Red Alert 1? Dota ?

I was playing L4D2.
Question is, how to know whether its running using my NVIDIA GPU or INTEL build-in gpu?

When I tried to play games like Halflife2 and Starcraft 2 - with my 46" Full HD TV. The game won't last long.
Maybe about 10-20min, my laptop shutdown. Temperature last recorded was around 86C(CPU) & 85C(GPU)
Is it due to temperature high? If I play with my laptop - no problem. Why???
