Hi, im a freelance 3d animator and this is my first time purchasing a laptop and am looking for a laptop for 3d animation usage.
1) Will the A42JK or A42JR be good enough for it? 2) Is there any other laptop around the same budget as this model worth buying for animation? budget size (3000-4000) 3) Regarding the graphic card, does this still come with ATI HD 5470 or better? 4) How accurate is the colors on the monitor? 4) The 15 inch model still available? Am a noob when it comes to laptops, appreciate all your feedbacks

QUOTE(faiz2036 @ May 28 2010, 02:28 PM) now, only a42jk available in the market cause of end of lifetime for Jr series.. so, that's means that the hd5470 now not in the a42jk that have been replaced with hd5145 that is equal performance with hd5470 without Directx 11 capability.. the monitor display is HD/LED backlight screen.. so you know the performance of HD screen.. yes, there is 15" screen for this model a52jk.. same machine.. but you have other option than Asus brand.. maybe this link can help you choose your new notebook according to your budget: http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/1422707 ur very lucky to own the jr series then..i liked the gpu on it rather than the 5145.. another thing, even if i manage to find a jr series in lowyatt, should i go for it? jk seem like a downgrade for me at the moment, or maybe im wrong..

compare toshiba qosmio f60 (i3,15.6"nvidia geforce gt330m 1gb) with asus A52jk, which is better for graphic designers. (for 3d animators)?
