Compare side by side, the palm rest even cooler than my Acer

You need to install MSI AfterBurner 1.60
then after installed, go to its directory under the program files(x86), open the msiafterburner.cfg if not mistaken, then scroll down, change the enableofficialoverclocking = 0 to 1 then save it....
then open the msi afterburner, from there, you can slide the memory clock and core clock...
core clock gives more performance but more heat...
Try adjust core clock first, try at first 50MHz, then go up slowly by 10MHz or 20MHz, each of it, test it using furmark couple minutes, check whether there's artifact or not, then keep slide the core clock up untill there's artifact or hang, then put back the value slightly lower before it hang, e.g if it hang at 820MHz, put it around 800 or 810MHz... then repeat it with memory clock....
The best I could get is Core Clock 577, Memory Clock 966...
with i5 450M running at 3.0GHz, 3dmark06@1366x768 gain 9088 score from 7200 in stock clocks....
Ok.. need to install 3Dmark06 first...
