Added on October 21, 2010, 9:14 amread the post regarding weight hole or balance hole , another use is to control ball flare if you put it lowyou add flare, if you put it high you limit flare. flare are the rings you find on your ball track

actually the flare can be interpreted as the hook ability of the ball . the hole may help but there are some balls which does not have balance holes but still exhibits good hooking action. this is now technical-balls this days are specs oriented like the track line which has number and letter this interprets to strenght of coverstock and reaction. do you still follow oran9e i'll stop from here so you can ask questions.

remember the balance hole just helps but the specs or character of the ball still is the reference for reaction. much easy to read the track series example 930T means 9-strongest coverstock- 30 means strong core -T means traction strong reaction to lane condition. remember you need to know the specs and what it do for you and what you need. balls yesterday are VERY different today.
