IINM when setting to auto bracket, u get to choose to use 1/3 and -1/3, 2/3 and -2/3, 1 and -1 and so on until 3 and -3. then the camera will let u take 3 pics.

so lets say u set to 1 and -1, the 1st pic u shoot is normal exposure at 0 EV. after u snap, the settings will automatically change to 1 EV. after u snap again, it'll change to -1 EV. so snap again. all in all u'll snap 3 times, but only have to set the exposure bracket once

im not sure with the order but that's how i remember it. my gf borrow my LX3 for a while so i cant check hehe. IINM after the 3rd snap, it will merge the 3 pics

^ lx3 can focus up to juz 1cm away from the lens... try take a picture of ur computer screen u can actually see individual rgb cells

if the price is the same...sure LX5 hehe

but then for those who just bought LX3, no need to regret lah

to take a nice photo of ur baby, filters n add-on lenses wont do much good. remember, to take a attractive photo, most important thing is ur skill. having all the accessories wont help you much.

rest ur baby on a sofa, n position the sofa beside a window as to light up ur baby with natural sunlight. n snap away maybe u wont get good results for the first hundred shot (!) but keep experimenting with different angles and poses. google for baby photos to get some ideas

dun forget to play with post-processing too. good luck!
