If u all think 2011 Avante came with GDI 1.6 engine with 6spd GB..... Forte now in Korea ald released GDI 1.6 engine with 6spd GB also.... http://www.kia.co.kr/vehicles/forte/will be available in malaysia somewhere in 2011 also.... in term of technology, i think Forte wins....but 2011 Avante also offers technology of it's own that few not available in Forte like build in GPS, Meter... KIA and Hyundai are brothers company, so, they kinda work more like in a team.....

QUOTE(cybermaster98 @ Nov 9 2010, 10:37 AM) If thats the case then that will lower the resale value of the current Forte even more. Change in transmission is a major change. So unless they really increase the price of the new Forte then the old Forte will suffer. Korean makes dont have the holding power that Jap makes have. Thats why its very important to price the cars very carefully. i think the price will maintain...if not, will increase abit..

QUOTE(seancorr @ May 3 2010, 02:25 PM) Looks good indeed BUT I'll wait till this car arrives in KL before I make my judgement. In addition to that their engines might not even come to Malaysia due to our shitty fuel quality. We might just get the previous gen engines haha It's true, the new FL Forte and Hyundai Avante 2011 won't have GDi Engine, but got 6 spd auto and other features. y?? Coz malaysian fuel might destroy the engine itself. Even with current Forte engine, in RON97 also plenty of engine knocking and jerking. The only solution is V-Power Racing, which is the 1 and only RON100 fuel. If juz government can put this VPR in every cities, i guess GDi won't have problem reaching here...

Might be so, but that's the problem. Even I went to Korean KIA workshop, they said the samething...is about the problem with fuel. So, I guess, minimum RON95, but also will suffer engine knocking and jerking. At least RON97 won't have engine knock, but still have jerking issues...happen at my Forte driving at 40-43km/h..
