For point 3, the gearbox oil change is 100,000km, due to the different climate here.

For point 5, it's 5 years warranty, not 10.
Fully synthetic oil change is 10,000km, but service is still 5,000km where they change your oil filter and inspect your car.

We can put in all the geeky stuff like the parking assistant, but will you buy an Elantra that's overly priced?

Ok, so you guys need to hold your breath a little longer for pricing. As we don't expect SD to give the pricing until few days before launching. As for technical specs, hopefully you guys won't need to wait for very long now.

Here's a dare, I'll eat my shoe if I owns a Civic before an Elantra. I'll match the Civic price by flooding my Elantra full of accessories.

I'm on first place for bookings in my hometown... Oh yeah...

I just hope in future we can add on paddle shifters.. oh mai.

To date, Forte only sold 4783 units in comparision to the Vios which sold 25,485 units. Even the Altis sold 5178, HOnda City sold 10,470 and Honda Civic sold 6175 units.

I still remember all the hype when the Forte was launched. Many claimed that it would thrash the Vios, City, Altis & Civic but clearly all that has gone up in smoke. EVen the Altis with its weird rear end & inferior specs, performed better.

But still the Forte was a good effort from Kia in terms of pricing, specs and looks. Sadly the after sales service is still a doubt. Hope the Optima is priced just as well & does better.

The odd of SD letting go of Hyundai is rather slim, they co-owns Inokom anyway. Even if SD were to sell it to someone else, everything will still be well established by then as ever sice Sime Darby took over the dealership right from Berjaya and Kah Bintang things has improved tremendously.

Following memo, I am not even allowed to give a price guess. As far as I know, pricing has been submitted but has not yet been approved by the government.

I won't be in showroom this coming Thursday by the way

over one year only, a reduction of almost rm16k...this is almost 20% from the original price in just 1 year..

If only door and badge assembled by Inokom may still be acceptable...but 100k+ for an Inokom assembled car sounds outrageous.

Err, the sunroof can be left intact while enjoying the sights. All you need to do is pull back the roof liner to enjoy the view. No shit on your head

Besides, a darkened sunroof on a white Elantra? Best thing that could happen to it lol... Don't quote me, ask the other forummers.

Wow, it looks like I've been pissing quite a few ppl off. Well, if you feel offended, I apologize. I was merely retorting due to your blanket statement that sunroofs are useless in a tropical country. I shouldn't fight generalization with sarcasm.

On why a sunroof is not useless in a tropical country:

1) Quieter when it rains
2) Makes the car look more exclusive, straightaway can tell it's a 1.8 full spec
3) Easier to maintain than a metal roof (polishing and waxing)
4) Can enjoy romantic drives with your gf on a starry nite
5) Can open the sunroof to cool the car quickly after parking under the hot sun in a tropical country
6) Not so easily scratched if your neighbour's fukken cat loves to sleep on your car roof lol
7) Can stand on it without causing a dent unlike the soft metal roof.
8) If you tint the sunroof with security tint, it will be so much stronger than a soft metal roof in case it rolls over
9) Bird shit easily wiped off

Then its price in Malaysia has been blown way out of proportion compared to its relative price in US and Europe.
