Anyone knows how to reformat hdd on astromax?
Press what sequence code to enter into service menu?
Is it possible to factory reset astromax?

Its better you call the Astro Customer Service and press Astro Max if the option are there for help otherwise wait for the CS to guide.

No one seems to know man..

Any Sifu astro max technician can help shares the knowledge?
Are astro max technicians subjected to astro work code that forbids them tutor end-user?

Planning to upgrade 80Gb HDD to 160HDD.
Should I use CCTV-grade IDE HDD or normal IDE 7200rpm HDD?
Since the unit already more than 3 years old so warranty non-issue!

I would imagine the firmware will reformat new harddisk automagically

2]switch Off your Astro Max power supply

3]Turn it back on,wait till it Reach a display that reads "Please insert Your Smartcard"on your MAX remote control
U should see 4 buttons with colours red,green,yellow,blue.DONT PUT IN YOUR SMARTCARD YET!

4]Check the DMR the display should be blinking.

5]Press green Button And then Yellow Button.If your succesful the display should pop out "cdnt".From there Quickly Press the yellow button follow by the Blue button.If your succesful u should go into a "Reinstalling"Mode.

6]Slot in back your smartcard,And follow the Guides shown.

Tips:U dont have to press down together the Button.One at a time.
