In KL? Nowhere to be found. Other way is to get them online.

A misconception. There are original licensed anime/japan shows in Malaysia. For example Speedy imports and distribute the Ultraman series for teh Malaysian market. They paid for the license, thus you can't say they are fake. You can even check with Tsuburaya.

The bad thing is, because of the way they lambak the whole thing with imported Hong Kong bootlegs, there are no way of knowing which is which. But usually licensed series in Malaysia do come in better packaging. And also behind the box, thera are information of the local licensee. Examples of series officially licensed in Malaysia by a local company were Vandread, Lost Galaxy (stopped halfway dammit), Hand Maid May (sub was so correct that it was better than the fansub version that I downloaded) and obvious titles like Card Captor Sakura (only in Malay dub) and Doraemon (ditto).

If the title is unavailable locally, and I want to get one from another country, I usually get from Japan since it has better extra stuffs (limited edition film press for instance of Eva 1.11) and cheaper than the US version. And some of the US version would also contain cut, and in majority of old titles, no Japanese audio, which for me is not really worth the money.

SOme of the Japanese released DVD/Bulu Rei has included english subs nowadays, like the latest rerelease of Kanon. Try asking around, since Kanon and Clannad are made by KyoAni

i know price is nothing for a "rich" hardcore fan lools..

but for an ordinary lifestyle with budgets hardcore fan like me price is something but sure i do hope that i can get the best ones..

I know BD are better then dvd but if i buy BD then my PS3 lens is gonna wear out very fast since i dont have a proper BD player lools..

well like i said im an average person who just likes anime so much xD

guess i have to think over about getting a BD or a DVD.. just love Clannad and FSN so much.. smile.gif

This is another misconception. We are not really that rich, but we ARE willing to pay for something that we like. You don't have to buy everything, just one or two that you like most. Simpan duit, then buy. I found that out with my games. What I don't buy, I just don't play. Is that simple.

one silly question..

are the so called originalfake ones which out local CD shop are selling properly liscenced by the anime company?

if not what difference does it have in comparison with the fake pasar malam ones except for the outlook?.

then can an anime company sue them for pirating their work?

im so curious to know lools.. coz i even see FFXIII animation DVD nowdays which Speedy is selling. x_x"

Malaysians are killing anime eh?

As I said above. some are, some are not. The original licensed can be easily determined since it will list out which company licensed it, and also the license number on the box.
DIfferent from SIngapore where everything comes through ODEX (ahahaohwow), we have various distributors here. Just keep an open eye.
