Yes, if your house served by Puchong Exchange, it should be available in August 2010. But we’re sorry, current information state that your house is served by Taman Kinrara Exchange (KIN). We are deploying new areas all the time.
Some sections of a city may get service before others. It’s all dependent on how fast we can dig and lay cable in a given neighborhood, and get the required hardware in place. We are currently unable to give better estimates.

some info bout the new Huawei GPON Unit (ONU)

- web management IP address is 192.168.100.1
- can be accessed via any of the 4 LAN ports, DHCP is enabled, u will get 192.168.100.x IP, if not just manual config ur IP to 192.168.100.x
- default username/password is: telecomadmin/admintelecom

during installation, the guys will have slip with a lot of configuration info with them. one of the info is "CPEType_0_ONUPassword", it's a 10 digit number. im not sure whats it for but i saw the guys keying this in the ONU during installation. i jotted it down since this wasnt provided in my Unifi registration email.

there are VLAN settings and stuff, but i haven't tried anything yet coz the TM guys will be back again today to troubleshoot my VOIP. my VOIP not working yet, they still trying to fix it.

one question: if you disable your VOIP by turning off the ONU, and u try to call the VOIP number, what will you get? a call tone with no one answering or a 'fail to connect' tone?

i got mine fixed yesterday. the moment the TM guys left, I took control of the DLINK and i reconfigured it as a VLAN switch, currently my linux server is doing the PPPOE dialing and the rest.

Now i want get rid of the DLINK once n for all. hahaha.... it seriously sucks big time.

yup, mine is huawei as well... not that bad the modem, looks quite nice.

But the DLINK sucks big time.

My installation took quite long, started at 10.30am went till about 1.45, then it rained till about 3. then work resumed and then TM managed to complete everything by 5.

hahaha... when the guy was configuring it I saw the DLINK router hanged about 2-3 times. Then when I tinkered with it it hanged about 3 times on me personally and sometimes the WLAN signal just disappears. ~weird ~

Got mine installed today too, took them around 4 hours to get everything done .. they need to get a contractor to do the underground cabling .. the internals were done by TM guys.

As the rest, I got a Huawei GPON terminal, a DLink DIR-615, IP STB and a Panasonic DECT phone. I wonder, since the GPON is actually a router, why on earth they added the DIR-615 into the equation?

Need to disconnect my fixed phone and screamyx tomorrow, and will try to get my Buffalo WZR-HP-G300 running on openwrt configured to take over the DIR-615 .. not really a heavy internet user since I don't do torrent that often, but I guess am up to the challenge

Is it possible for TM to transfer your old landline number from copper to Voip so that we will not have to pay for the cost of 2 line if people like me wish to keep 1 line with the OLD number been used for many years and known by many people.

Hi, is your unifi become turtle speed at night?

I subscribe unifi 5mb one month ago, thing was perfect until two week ago the speed started to slow down at night, can't even open a webpage. It happened on friday and saturday, but now even weekday are facing the same problem. Make a complaint to TM, then they change the port for my unit (I am staying in condo). After changing, work fine on weekdays night, but friday and saturday still a problem. Guess the traffic is too heavy.

Do u guy facing the same problem? I am staying at Damansara Perdana.

Is anyone facing problem with the VOIP? My work for the first day after installation, but the following day no dial tone. I think is something got to do with my fiberhome.

Thanks bro.. called them and according to the cs, is not available yet at Bandar Puteri . Only those area that is near the boarder between KL and Puchong will get it first....
