Hi guys, currently I'm using VIP5 and I'm just wondering whether I can change to Blockbuster deal. The 4mb line. Will there be any problem if I would like to do so?
*
I think you cannot downgrade to streamyx..It will be considered terminate your unifi. So, you need to pay for the remaining contract..

hmm hopefully they wont remove the 'free' installation, equipments, activation etc etc..  hmm.gif
*
The free installation, equipment etc is for temporary@promotion.
I ask Unifi CS, they will charge the installation fee etc starting next year..

can i know how much is the upload speed for 5mb and 10mb?

is it the same? can anyone show me the speedtest please?

i want to host some mw2 cod games in ps3. is that possible?
*
Upload speed = download speed..

So, around 500kbps for upload and download for VIP5 package..

DL cap  sweat.gif
So this means that, I have to pay for 24 months worth of usage? which is 149 x 24?
*
This is from Unifi FAQ:

Is there any penalty if I terminate my Unifi service?

For termination within the minimum contract period, customers shall pay a penalty equivalent to the remaining contract balance. There will be no penalty charges for termination after the minimum contract period. Customers must also settle any outstanding bill prior to termination.

yup, mine is huawei as well... not that bad the modem, looks quite nice.

But the DLINK sucks big time.

My installation took quite long, started at 10.30am went till about 1.45, then it rained till about 3. then work resumed and then TM managed to complete everything by 5.

hahaha... when the guy was configuring it I saw the DLINK router hanged about 2-3 times. Then when I tinkered with it it hanged about 3 times on me personally and sometimes the WLAN signal just disappears. ~weird ~

Truly i say the DLINK sucks big time...
*
I never enable the wireless function on dir-615. I use my Linksys router with DD-WRT as my wireless router. Much stable as I also have repeater from other house.... smile.gif

So far, my dir-615+GPON terminal haven't hang yet. As for IPTV, I only open it for testing during the installation. After that, pack it up into the box again. No purpose to use IPTV as I already have Byond installed. biggrin.gif

They will ask you first..They will give u option..As for me, they ask me to drill or let the fiber pass through the windows. I opt to drill..just small hole to let the fiber pass through...

Hi guys,

Pardon me as i can't browse from page to page (read a few pages but to 87 pages.. my eyes already masuk pasir)..

Oh yes, i manage to get the installation for Unifi VIP5 last Saturday@Mutiara Damansara, anyway a few questions that i wanted to know (maybe some of it it's already being replied):-

1) Do the RG unit didn't come with stand? I can use the BTU/RG USB port to generate power for the extra fan (like the fan for laptop)

2) I only manage to get download up to maximum 2Mbps according to IDM status, is it consider the best or not? if not how should i do about it? I've tried to speedtest.net and TM speedometer stated there reach >60000 download

3) Now i still have my Streamyx 1Mbps, the CS Unifi told me i need to terminate the line as TM only approved 1 line per house...so i can go any TMPoint to terminate the line rite?

4) I've read somewhere here mentioned that we can reset the settings as it says TM can monitor what we have dll or what so ever activities.. is it true?

Have more question to ask but yet can't get time to play with the BTU and RG units... will post again when it cross my mind... thanks in advance for the replied to all.

I try to answer some of ur question:

1. My RG unit does not come with the stand.

2. From where did u download the files? The download speed is varying depend on the location of the server.

3. I still have my previous fix line. The unifi cs give u false information. Every house can have as many line as they want as long they pay the bill.

4. This one I'm not sure which u are referring.

Quick question, can you convert to unifi, if you are still under contract with streamyx without penalty?
