PC Linux router,

P4 1.8Ghz, 4 Port NIC (Dlink TX 580), 1GB Ram
and running Vyatta (http://www.vyatta.org/)

Confirmed everything works.

Vyatta is like a Cisco router IOS.

I submitted the form earlier this week, till now still didn't receive call from them to fix appointment for installation.
*
call them. There might be chances they did not receive your order in the systems. Ask the customer support your order status. If it is not in the system, you have to re-register with them via telephone.

QUOTE(jackyflc @ Jul 16 2010, 06:17 AM)
I recommend you to proceed to TMPoint to apply. I was given the installation date during the application.
*
I register through TMpoint directly. After 1 week, my order is still not in process. They keep the borang don't know where.

in front my house, bukak no fiber cable. Need to tarik few houses away. They calculate 90 meters. Need to make a hole from TM underground cable to my longkang system. They pull from tm hole to my longkang up to my house.

Finaly they found the fiber cable, after 7-8 houses from mine. The one with yellow/black is the fiber cable.

Yes i am. Was he refering to the default dir-615 ??? yeah that would probably explain why lulz  laugh.gif

My router can load many ips at a fast rate. Example i can get a few hundred server ips loaded in Counter Strike instantly  laugh.gif  Same thing applies for torrent peers as well.
@KAHAK

I'm not a fan of the tmnutters myself. And I do agree with your skepticism how well Unifi will be after caps are enforced (in particular low monthly bandwidth caps and throttled speeds. I could not get a straight answer from tmnut regarding this.)

What is worrying is, tmnut may use the low bandwidth cap to use as an excuse to cap speeds to 250 kbps if the rumors are true  shocking.gif  which is alarming considering the high price for the region, and yet we don't get the best price/package  rolleyes.gif

However i am sure once it gets enforced and we don't like it, there will be enough waves of protest like what happened at launch in regards to the caps.  laugh.gif
My modem is also a Huawei FTTH fiber optic modem doh.gif

Is the one in the picture for vdsl ?
*
are referring to my picture? mine is FTTH. But not Huawei. Its alcatel.

It depends on the level of VLAN support your router has while running dd-wrt.. but it most cases, no. In many dd-wrt router implementations, VLAN support is half-broken. Which means although you can run the PPPoE connection through the appropriate VLAN, there is no setting which will allow you to bridge the IPTV VLAN onto its own physical port with the proper configuration. That makes it nearly impossible to have a proper Internet + IPTV implementation on a dd-wrt firmware router.
*
It's time to look for a vlan capable switch, just to isolate the iptv network.
riz, what do you think of this?

In Aus, i can log-in to my account to see how much data used. Can i do it for UNIFI? Unifi told me it is unlimited usage with the same speed now...until end of the year.
*

Wait.. judging from the posts over the past few days, does this mean I can't use my own modem router when they install Unifi?
*
i just use everything supplied by TM. No extra device, since im the only one using it. DIR-615 should be more than enough.
