Yeah, they told me too about 60gb is just a temporary on the website, maybe they will give 120gb or more. But about this one
whatever it is.. for 5/10/20Mbps package ke...mana boleh simply decreased the speed. sure kena saman la nanti. this is not streamyx package using sharing connection..this is fibre optic. u get what you pay for[COLOR=red].. mine now using VIP10 package, dapat 9xxxKB/s local connection pun dah cantik(if diorg decreased the speed suddenly dpt 2xxxKB/s locally mmg nak kenalah). international uplink still depends on the site. some site very fast, some are not.

I dont mind if they still give the connection(decreased of speed) if my usage over the bandwidth limit,  I just scared after a month..they still throttling my bandwidth forever lol . bukan boleh percaya TM ni..hihi

u clearly on the wrong page tongue.gif

dude, unifi is not leased line lah.............this is a shared bandwith service, x kira lah fiber ke miber ke wafer ke....that is just the means of how they connect u to their server...

u pay peanuts, dun ask for leased line level of service...beli kereta kancil nk laju mcm ferrari...mcm mana?

QUOTE(Alpha_Tay @ Jun 7 2010, 09:53 PM)
from what i test so far, streamyx with fast path, 1st hops would get 10ms+-, unifi with ftth, 1st hops would get 1ms+-, unifi with vdsl, becoz of the default interleaved setting, but it shouldnt be, since the MSAN is alreadly in the end-user building basement, 1st hops would get higher than streamyx latency.

streamyx with fast path, 15ms for me. Unify with interleave, 35ms to me. Any method to change the mode?

I took this from a reply from www.physicsforums.com by chroot.

QUOTE
So, now I must deal with the misconception that the electric field travels instantaneously. It does not. Disturbances in the electric field travel at roughly the speed of light. Disturbances travel more slowly through materials than they do in free space. For example, changes in the electric field propagate through interior traces of FR4 fiberglass printed circuit boards at about six inches per nanosecond, which is only about half the speed of light. The dielectric material surrounding the trace is what slows the propagation down, because it acts against changes in the magnetic field outside the wire, which must necessarily accompany any changes in the electric field inside the wire.
So electric travels half the speed of light, so ADSL must be 2 times slower then Fiber physically. It's impossible for ADSL has the same latency as Fiber. So if take 2 ppl, one with Unify Fiber and another one with Unify VDSL playing CS at a local server, the latter will be headshot first if they are both firing at the same time. rclxms.gif

you wont get very fking fast connection for playing WoW except you move to USA!

you need to learn bandwidth and latency is 2 totally different thing
*
Totally agree with you guardie. You can have a 100mbps connections with 1000ms latency and you can have a 56k connections with 30ms of latency. Well a 56k user situated in USA living next to the server definitely has better ping that you living in Malaysia with 100000000Mbit. whistling.gif
