I usually setup webserver in my main pc...

Before using unifi all lan network can access to my webserver...

Now i dunno why others pc cant access my pc...

Mine lan is 192.168.0.100... The others which is using 192.168.0.101,102,103,104,105 cant access my pc...

How to configure this?..

Also portforward is not working...

Portforward 192.168.0.100 @ port 80...

When access through wan ip(whatismyip) i get the modem login page...

Well maybe because now your using their DIR-615 router. So you need to resetup port forwarding.

But if you followed riv's guide, by making the DIR-615 as a switch to do vlan tagging, and use your own router so no need to change settings assuming that your old router settings were setup already e.g. port forwarding.

If you are using Riv's guide, make sure the dir-655 doesn't have dhcp i guess :/

wow, that is fast. Lots of H264 flac..

possible to reveal the settings here?

I did a re-test. I changed the upload to 800 kb/s

The upload cap doesn't seem to work because it goes beyond that :/

But anyway i manage to peak download: 1 MB/s, upload: 1 MB/s

I'm surprised could get this speed on the shitty dir-615. However, i did notice a big problem with the router. The lan to lan speed was capped at 10 MB/s compared to the 90 MB/s when i used my DIR-655 previously. That is a friggin huge bottle neck for me because i stream videos from my QNAP TS-509 Pro

When i try to move a file and watch a movie at the same time, the video won't open because the lan to lan speed is already being utilized for the moving of files.

Also using a better router, the torrent speed can probably start quicker then if you used DIR-615 which takes a while to warm up before you reach your peak speed.

I haven't had a chance yet to see if the DIR-615 crash after torrenting too much, but i'll post back if it does nod.gif

I've confirmed that mirc xdcc downloads aren't throttled from what i've observed cool.gif

Bro, As Riz mentioned..their speedometer isn't that reliable. Since you got uTorrent running, that should confirm the actual speeds your getting.
*
I've tested with utorrent and MU. download and upload both peak at 1 MB/s, so i guess it works cool.gif

Kinda odd though that excluding speedtest.net , tmnuts own speedometer on the disunify website also doesn't show correctly.

that because dir655 is gigabit ports while the unifi dir615 is using 100mbit port, its not because its "CAPPED"  rclxub.gif

LOL
*
I know that, same meaning nod.gif because my speed is real world stuck at 10 MB/s for lan to lan (can't go much higher then this so it's capped sweat.gif ), compared to 90 MB/s before cry.gif

anyone getting errors on their set-top box?
since yesterday i've been getting server is busy,

i thought it was the maintenance, so i left it till today,
i tried again, this time it says Error code: 108001. System Error.
also 'accessing to DHCP ' failed during the initializing. =(

edit: also, says here promotional period ends at 31 august.
http://www.unifi.my/hypptv/

Yes i got that too.

But i fixed it by turning off the power switch behind it, wait 30 seconds, then turn it back on. Then it worked again nod.gif

Just curious though, what additional charges are they talking about for the hyptv ????

I've seen their channels but nothing much interesting to watch, althought the quality is good and no stutter. The video on demand feature is nice, but i wouldn't want to pay for it as i could also download it online and keep a digital copy on my drive to watch whenever i want as well.

how is ur iptv box setup ??

For me i am using a pair of homeplugs.

Make sure you checked that your internet is working and the ethernet cables are not lose in the sockets especially on the iptv.

Then you can try reboot router, and next turn off/on the iptv and see if that works.

Is it just me that Unifi connection is screwed up? I got higher ping and timed out, along with slow connection too.
*
Same here. Quite slow now. I even rebooted my router because i thought it was that, but it wasn't.

I'm seeing speeds of between 2 mbps and 4 mbps. Did they activate the bandwidth cap already ??

My monthly bandwidth usage for June is already 600 gb hmm.gif

Rumor has it that they are gonna enforce the cap sooner then we had expected, could this be it ? shocking.gif

Pretty much anytime they feel like releasing a 100mbps package? :/
*
Not anytime soon. Just think about it.

How many years have they been peddling their 1-4 mb packages for premium prices, when other countries had been offering speeds of 10mb, 20 mb, 50mb, 100mb and even 1gb!!

Tmnut also has no competitors so it has no reason to offer better speed packages then 5/10/20 for now, and even that is friggin expensive + they dare say want to put caps somemore doh.gif

Their very good at milking $$ out of us for very high profit margins because they are a monopoly rclxub.gif

Saw them hang up fiber cables up the phone poles near my place.

100mbps is still a dream sad.gif

But even if they offer it, just imagine what pricing it's gonna be.

Seeing the pricing scale based on the 5/10/20 mb packages currently, it's gonna be outrageously overpriced shocking.gif

AND AND !!! they may even cap it !!!! shocking.gif shocking.gif

You can use your own router by using Riv's method by changing the DIR-615 to a switch that only does vlan tagging.

Or you can totally replace the DIR-615 with a vlan capable switch such as...

The RB250GS which is cheap, good and has all the functionality for vlan you need, and extras like bandwidth QOS if you require that.

There are screen shots of the SWOS it's web interface uses here

They need to improve the international link.
Local 100mbps is useless, we need better international speed.
*
Their current 10mb unifi can support that speed to foreign servers which i've tested. The question remains, if got more unifi subscribers can they still have the current performance ??

Now may be fine, but later how?

Unifi still got lots of stuff to prove hmm.gif

Ok i did another test. The unifi has fully recovered as the connections are stable.

Web surfing is now silky smooth even without qos like it was before the slowdown biggrin.gif

You can see my pc speeds to the bottom right. Running xdcc mirc and utorrent download same time biggrin.gif

@5w33

I'd run test on speedtest but the result seem to be unreliable :/ so i didn't. Instead i just utorrent, jdownloader and xdcc mirc to show real time performance doh.gif u can see the flags where the uploader location is from to give a good idea regarding international speed.

Most of the media is in US or Europe :/ whu download from china ?? Baidu?? i don't use that doh.gif

I'm using firefox mozilla plugin fasterfox set to turbo charged meaning it uses many connections to boost your load time.

You should try that.

either buy a router that does vlan based ports (rare), or buy a cheap switch that is vlan port based such as the new RB250GS and then use any router with it which doesn't necessarily even need vlan, this way you can use whatever router you want without having to worry about vlan capability as your switch is doing that already.

As for whether tomato can do vlan tagging, from what i heard some of the dd-wrt supported routers like the Buffalo can, but how to set it up i am not sure, but Riv knows hmm.gif

If people use google to look for these things before they ask here.

Seriously, many of the questions have been answered including where to buy those routers. Not long while ago there was even a WNDR3700 sale :/ but you all miss cause you couldn't google.

Use the lowyat search or google search next time doh.gif

Seriously, I don't think there's anything wrong to ask questions which have been asked thousand of time.......after all this is a community forum which open to help each other. If I post question, I hope to get some quick response and if someone kind enough to answer me, it'll make my day.......if not, I won't blame because I know that it's most likely have been answered already, then I will have to spend more time to "GOOGLE" it.........And seriously too, if you feel that I'm those kind of idiot just want to ask fast question and get fast response without doing much homework, you can just ignore me, no point for posting above response .......

Fair enuff and i respect your opinion.

Well suffice to say i think a moderator should at least sticky a new thread to explain riv's unifi's fix :/ so we can keep the repeats to a minimum.

Too many repeat questions :/
