QUOTE(rattan @ May 2 2010, 04:16 AM) No worries bro. By the way which part of Shah Alam are you ? Even Subang Jaya i heard very limited areas actually got uniFi, despite me seeing them deploying their cables very progressively in Klang Valley they hv not added any new areas in the availability list. I personally spotted them in Kepong & Sentul Sorry bro, I didn't notice your post.I'm at Sect. 8. QUOTE(rizvanrp @ May 2 2010, 06:57 PM) 1. USB port on Fiberhome unit is for external battery power supply, don't wire a USB device into it. Console port is for Fiberhome firmware administration, use a Cisco console cable or any other rj45-r232 converter with yost wiring standard @ 9600baud with no hardware flow control to access it. Nothing much you can do there though, all data communication is performed over the fiber optic cabling. As for the LAN ports, you can only use 1 at a time. It carries 2 VLAN tags (500 & 600) meant for your DIR-615 router to separate for internet & iptv connectivity. You can only use one of these ports at a time and it can only be wired into the WAN port on the DIR-615 router. You can't plug a PC in there and another into the DIR-615 LAN ports and expect them to communicate -- will not happen. 1. Wow, very detailed explaination. Thanks.2. STB has two USB ports, one at the rear and one under a rubber connector on the side. Can't use them for anything that I know of at the moment. 3. USB port that's usable is on the DIR-615 modem.. use it + Dlink shareport software to share a USB device over your network. 2. Oh! I thought there's only 1 USB port. Didn't notice the one at the side until I read this. Thanks again! I hope they can be used to watch videos from USB storage etc in the future.. 3. Yep, I'm already using this port to share my ext. HDD. But only one PC can use the shared device at a time. That's a bit sad, but still useful. - I have another question, 4. I see that some TV channels in the IPTV (like RTM1) can be paused, rewound, or back-2-hours. How can I do that to TV3 etc? In the user manual said only TSTV can do that. What is TSTV? |

Coincidence? Hell no. |

Actually, it don't really depending on which area you are staying, instead it based on the area connected under which exchange building.
If your area already having FTTH implemented device, yet your phone or internet was connect to any four opened exchange. Most likely you able to register it. |

QUOTE(Something Else @ May 3 2010, 08:34 PM) My house is yeah.. depends on your street address. Back when I used Streamyx, the tech told me DJ is at the edge of the TTDI exchange and there's another exchange nearby so I might be using either one. Best to just call them and confirm the availability. This post has been edited by rizvanrp: May 3 2010, 10:11 PM |

QUOTE(HiT-AbLe @ May 2 2010, 11:59 PM) Exactly same as me, and somehow no matter how I test also no port being open. I even reinstall WinXP just now and result still the same. try this:This router sux. windows: click start>run> type 'command' (without the ' ' ), click ok on command prompt, type 'ipconfig' (without ' ' ) and enter. your ip address should appear along with subnet mask and default gateway. make sure your ip address is the same as the one uve put in the private ip field on port forwarding. in my case its 192.168.0.103. yours could be different 101, 102, 103 or so on.
