I have just being invited to this event

TM EXPANDS UNIFI HIGH SPEED BROADBAND (HSBB) SERVICES TO 18 MORE EXCHANGES

Telekom Malaysia Berhad ™ will be holding a briefing and service showcase to social media influencers to mark its high-speed broadband (HSBB) project’s on-track rollout to 18 more exchanges nationwide.

This follows the service launch in the four initial areas of Shah Alam, Subang Jaya, Bangsar, and Taman Tun Dr. Ismail earlier this year on 24 March 2010.

With the continued expansion of TM’s UniFi service coverage, more Malaysians will be able to enjoy HSBB triple-play services comprising voice, data and IPTV including areas beyond the Klang Valley.

Dato’ Zamzamzairani Mohd Isa, Group Chief Executive Officer, TM and Ahmad Azhar Yahya, HSBB Programme Director, TM will be present at the briefing and showcase.

I shall report what is the latest info about UniFi after this even on July 2nd

Daily cap is crazy , monthly cap is good enough already

At least they dont count local traffic , which is good - as riz pointed out. You can still hit high speeds provided the other party is willing to host 24/7. Honestly I am thinking of moving to UniFi cause of the upload speed , its amazing as you could host your own small scale server.

This translates to if one streamyx or unifi guy downloads something , seed it and the rest can distribute it locally. Thus reducing the demand for foreign seed/peers. Its like how folks in Korea and japan do it. Win-win situation in both ways. You and I get faster download speeds and TM should able to offer speedier access to foreign web sites

Soon it will mark the death of MU/RS for UniFi users.

Once you hit 60gb
ur internet become 256
mean download and upload also become 256
not only download nod.gif

Well its not clear , after you've hit the cap. Everything gets thorttled or not. If international traffic then I dont mind , if it includes local then folks are dead big time. TM has to be clear on that

did you provide them your existing phone no? address? as i spoke to the installer they had queues of people from bandar puteri waiting for installation.
My area is nowhere near Puchong-KL border, my place is already close to putrajaya already just b4 Puchong South Toll of LDP. better double check with them, they may just take it easy to say not covered. heck, they told me i'm not covered also until i personally when and the FDP No. in front of my house and gave the no. to them.

Speed? this what i got...for VIP5

Is this speed normal?

Speedtest to Delhi, India with 20 Mbps

Speedtest to Mexico City, Mexico with 20 Mbps

Speedtest to Melbourne, Australia with 20 Mbps

I just had a Unifi 20 Mbps installation and am very unhappy with the connection. Heck, even my 4 Mbps Streamyx line is faster than my Unifi. I complained like 5 times but no one has looked into this.

The speed is seriously crap. My neighbor's 1 Mbps connection connects faster to Mexico City, Mexico and has lower latency than my connection!!

that is true
my 4M faster than urs
unifi just local fast laugh.gif
