Is the tmnut unifi speedometer reliable for testing speed ??? I'm not sure whether i should report to complain about speed not being 10mb on their speedometer. What do you think :/
Bro, As Riz mentioned..their speedometer isn't that reliable. Since you got uTorrent running, that should confirm the actual speeds your getting.

Well maybe because now your using their DIR-615 router. So you need to resetup port forwarding.

But if you followed riv's guide, by making the DIR-615 as a switch to do vlan tagging, and use your own router so no need to change settings assuming that your old router settings were setup already e.g. port forwarding.

If you are using Riv's guide, make sure the dir-655 doesn't have dhcp i guess :/

Portforward lan ip @ port that being use...

I open back old streamyx line can access through wan ip...

Change to unifi connection...

Setup portforward>cant access using wan ip...

Btw, this help with the portforward part...

I did a re-test. I changed the upload to 800 kb/s

The upload cap doesn't seem to work because it goes beyond that :/

But anyway i manage to peak download: 1 MB/s, upload: 1 MB/s

I'm surprised could get this speed on the shitty dir-615. However, i did notice a big problem with the router. The lan to lan speed was capped at 10 MB/s compared to the 90 MB/s when i used my DIR-655 previously. That is a friggin huge bottle neck for me because i stream videos from my QNAP TS-509 Pro

When i try to move a file and watch a movie at the same time, the video won't open because the lan to lan speed is already being utilized for the moving of files.

Also using a better router, the torrent speed can probably start quicker then if you used DIR-615 which takes a while to warm up before you reach your peak speed.

I haven't had a chance yet to see if the DIR-615 crash after torrenting too much, but i'll post back if it does nod.gif

I've confirmed that mirc xdcc downloads aren't throttled from what i've observed cool.gif

I've tested with utorrent and MU. download and upload both peak at 1 MB/s, so i guess it works cool.gif

Kinda odd though that excluding speedtest.net , tmnuts own speedometer on the disunify website also doesn't show correctly.

that because dir655 is gigabit ports while the unifi dir615 is using 100mbit port, its not because its "CAPPED" rclxub.gif

LOL

I know that, same meaning nod.gif because my speed is real world stuck at 10 MB/s for lan to lan (can't go much higher then this so it's capped sweat.gif ), compared to 90 MB/s before cry.gif

since yesterday i've been getting server is busy,

i thought it was the maintenance, so i left it till today,
i tried again, this time it says Error code: 108001. System Error.
also 'accessing to DHCP ' failed during the initializing. =(

edit: also, says here promotional period ends at 31 august.

Yes i got that too.

But i fixed it by turning off the power switch behind it, wait 30 seconds, then turn it back on. Then it worked again nod.gif

Just curious though, what additional charges are they talking about for the hyptv ????

I've seen their channels but nothing much interesting to watch, althought the quality is good and no stutter. The video on demand feature is nice, but i wouldn't want to pay for it as i could also download it online and keep a digital copy on my drive to watch whenever i want as well.

how is ur iptv box setup ??

For me i am using a pair of homeplugs.

Make sure you checked that your internet is working and the ethernet cables are not lose in the sockets especially on the iptv.

Then you can try reboot router, and next turn off/on the iptv and see if that works.

yup internet access is working well,

i'm running without any additional setup,
that is the normal fiberhome to dir-615 to the set-top box.

other than turning off those settings that Riz posted,
i did nothing else =/

I'll give TM help line a call in awhile.

any beta-testers got a letter from TM regarding the "special pricing" that was promised earlier??

got mine today, chance to continue current VIP20 connection @ RM199 indefinitely just as long as I continue to subscribe to unifi..
also 12months contract which has already started since the connection was activated since feb..

no mention of other packages, guess TM is "forcing" me to go with the VIP20 package then.. hahaha.. was gonna go for the 10Mpbs
package anyway, so i guess "free" another 10Mbps speed then!! rclxm9.gif tongue.gif
