Can i join the forum? this is my 1st post... im a sony fan.. just want to share, my 1st laptop is vaio cs36, im very happy to use it... but, last year(december 2010) one of my friend wish to have my vaio. so, i sell to her... then, for my new year 2011, i buy another laptop, this is my 2nd vaio (VPCS137GG), really happy to have it... but, after 6day im use it, the HDD was broken... i send it to sony center, after 2 weeks, i didnt get any call from them...
then, i go to sony style TS to ask about the vaio... lastly, after some talk, their boss give me a replacement vaio... so, i get the new one... hehe... my luck on my new vaio is quite bad... bcoz, after 1.5 month i used it, my vaio has been stolen... OMG!!! im really angry bout that... now, im currently want to get a new vaio 4 my studies... its hard to do an assignment without vaio... my plan is to buy a same model, but my budget is not enough... my budget is below 2700... im used photoshop alot... now im trying to get a new VAIO YB...

Vaio YB price is rm1799, the spec is quite good 4 me... VPCYB15AG/S
i plan to upgade it abit.. 320gb HDD = 60gb SSD , 2gb ram = 4gb rm and Window 7 starter = ultimate
the price after upgade is around +-RM2300...

any suggestion 4 me to buy a new vaio?
what do u think about my choice?
p/s:i only accept Sony VAIO to be my personal laptop...

for me, 60gb is more than enuf... OS + application + game + some movie and music = +-45gb... btw, i have 500gb ex. hdd... i put all my stuff there... i only store my favorite music and some new movie to primary disk...
i prefer speed, its like the high end netbook 2 me...
as long as i can do photoshop without lag is enuf 4 me... this is my only choice...
i have hear bout the new vaio s also, its just too perfect 4 me... and i really2 want it... but, if any1 can give it 2 me as free give, i will really2 appreciate it... hehe...

I have just returned from the SonyStyle The Curve, they said the new VAIO will arrive the end of march... Hehe...

Hope to see the new vaio S in my table...

Hey, i think when the new vaio came out, the poison will be cure...

Lappy 2gb Ram DDR3 only rm60 la(same spec as ur vaio)... unless you go upgrade it at sony center, the price will be litle bit higher... Sony center staff also will recommend 2 upgrade it outside...

Wow... not bad... the price r quite cheap 4 me... coz, the previous vaio s with this price, u can only get i3, no fingeprint, no free mouse just bag... nice.... i think, i want it... with my condition now (no money )... got 2 think it twice... hmmm....

but, i dont hav money now... must wait until the end of march... anyone can buy it 4 me as a free give??
maybe i should wait 2 get more money... then, get the vaio s with i7... hehhe...

Added on March 17, 2011, 1:18 pmif u hav budget, better buy the Bluetooth mouse... i like the VGP-BMS10 mouse... the price ony rm299,if u have sonystyle card, u will get 10% off....

p/s: if u wan 2 buy it, better buy 2 set... 1 for u, 1 for me...

Hello... New user 4 Vaio SB18 here....

Some review 4 my new vaio sb...

fan problem...
-1st time use, the fan was loud... but after i finish setup my vaio(uninstall/install application and do all the update), there is no longer a fan problem...

batery life...
-the battery life is great 4 me... never done a test about it, but i can use it for my 1 day class with a single charge... hehe...

heat...
-u can feel the left palm rest was cold and the right palm rest is hot but not too hot...



until now i only hav 1 problem... really need someone to resolve it...
-how to change the display scale? expecially for gaming... i cannot find any option to change my display scale...
