Guys, is the ea16fg really underclocked? I mean, can I overclock it so that it will add some more fps on the gameplay itself? and how? what's the risk?

i dont really care if the gpu is underclock or not. yes, you can overclock but with multiple test to determine the max clock it can handle , this is to ensure that the notebook wont get overheat.

How to overclock it? How to know whter at max or not?

currently owning a blue wan .... juz feel blue nice colour =D

for the overclock thingi, you can refer to NBR forum. the experts there had tried numerous time to get the highest possible stable clock. check out vaio EA owner lounge.

you might need to download EVGA precision or MSI afterburner, then follow the clock NBR forumers recommended.

Maybe overclock is not a good idea though. Seen in youtube, where overclocking went wrong, explosion, fire and mny things could happen. Worst thing is, wreck my vaio forever

well, theres always risk for OC, if you dont need it, dont do it.

but i would say stick to NBR guide you wont go wrong.

i tried to OC abit more than NBR guide and my GPU straight crash....thats the only time i do it over.

advantage of OC, etc ATI HD5850 if you OC 11% you actually get a stock HD5870. its exactly the same as 5870, so you saved some bucks.
