Thanks for the advice. One question. Isnt the Roxio Easy Media Creator 10 a burning software?

Yup, the Roxio Easy Media Creator is a burning software. My opinion is that standalone software like CDBurnerXP does the job easier and does not clog up your computer.

Also, the Vaio Gate is just for aesthetics and you're free to remove it. nod.gif just double check and make sure that you don't want it.

oh yeah does anyone know to what extent laptop prices are reduced during sony events? there's a vaio roadshow in august at low yat and i'll probably get it then. hehe

hello i plan to buy EA16

bt i have few Qs:

1) is EA16 screen HD ? i don realli understand wat WXGA means =S
2) is EA16 underclocked??? will ati 5650 works well on this laptop?? ( i want to ply games for now and future )

but at best denki now got good promotion 5years free warranty plus free rm100 petrol voucher for EA16 rm3999.

Bear in mind that the warranty offered by Best Denki is y best Denki. So anything happens to your set after 1 year, you have to send it to best Denki. You send to SOny service center personally, you have to foot the bill yourself.

Expected that. Bleh, not such a good deal after all. IMHO you're gonna go through a big circle just to get your laptop to SC, so rather not waste the time and wait for a better deal. Thanks for the heads up mate.

if you're comparing the 5650 for lappie and 5650 for desktop, generally for laptops is underclocked a bit to cope with the heat dissipation of the laptop itself.

I'm thinking of getting an EA 16 too, but with no freebies...guess I have to wait. Keep me updated if got any promotion ok?

Most probably have to wait until next pc fair? in aug? do you think it is possible to get EA 16 in lowyat for a cheaper price? or with freebies?

driver on graphic rarely get updated by sony, as for fix and stuff, takes awhile. driver support such update is kinda slow.

Sony Time is the best period to buy any Sony product. Bought another VAIO yesterday for wifey. It's a Y series. Replace the RM199 backpack with another VAIO sling bag and add 20% off SEW. It's a good deal. But from my experience it is depends on whom you're dealing with, I mean the salesperson.

Thanks Bugeca! I have done all of that already.. but my start up still considered quite slow (about 1 min) not sure why...
