A pre-alpha build has just been released for us to test it out biggrin.gif Apparently it was tested on the Droid & N1 only, other users can feel free to try it out. Also it doesn't work with apps2sd.

QUOTE
This build should be considered "pre-alpha", so there are some warnings and caveats:

-We've only really tested this on the Motorola Droid and the Nexus One.
-It will likely not eat your phone, but bugs might cause your phone to stop responding, requiring a reboot.
-Memory usage of this build isn't great -- in many ways it's a debug build, and we haven't really done a lot of optimization yet.  This could cause some problems with large pages, especially on low memory devices like the Droid.
-You'll see the app exit and relaunch on first start, as well as on add-on installs; this is a quirk of our install process, and we're working to get rid of it.
-You can't open links from other apps using Fennec; we should have this for the next build.
-This build requires Android 2.0 or above, and likely an OpenGL ES 2.0 capable device.
-Edit: This build must be installed to internal memory, not to a SD card.

Download & tested it. Works on the Milestone, but uses a massive amount of space, and I mean MASSIVE: around 20++ mb required for installation not including data & cache.

Some comments:
-only double tap zoom is available, doesn't work that well
-no virtual keyboard support

+neat interface
+add-ons

Never tried Dolphin, using Xscope as my default now. It has the new pin-zoom(single finger zoom) gesture biggrin.gif

i just install the fennec on my desire..
the UI is very interesting but no pinch to zoom yet...
VERY big file, after installlation, almost 40MB... Crazy! not even cache...
starting up is very slow/laggy due to its alpha version

firefox is the default browser on my desktop.

Fennec on the other hand.... is NOT gonna be even in my phone. Over 30MB of space and its slow compare to the stock browser. No pinch zoom on my Desire.

It an an effort, i gotta clap for them but its really badly done.

At least it's still not a final version, it might be improved on until the final release.
