Hello,
Some of us cannot (or at least unable to) contribute by participation. (In my instance, I do not live in M'sia.)
Can someone on this forum set up a Paypal account so that donations can be collected? When a situation arises where donation is required, funds would already be available.
I note one cannot donate to the Pure Life Society because there appear to be a problem with their Paypal account.

Previously, this matter was brought up and was discussed as well. Why we can't implement such donation accounts: 1. For that we need to get an NGO license 2. too much stuff involve, documents etc to ensure that the funds are going to charities and not someone's pocket But it is still under consideration.

Hello DadaRouch,
I am so pleased you responded. I do respect the reasons you put forward and I do not wish to get anyone into trouble. However, I feel this is all a lots of red-tape, etc.
Surely, one of you established members on this site can open a Paypal account in your own name? Until the amount of Ringgits collected become seriously large, you need not worry about status of being an NGO, licence, etc. Afterall, the recepient's Paypal account is not the one who needs to worry; it is the donors who needs to be careful.
I, for one, is not too worried. (I think after reading through the various threads, your reputation [and conscience] is worth more the amount I am likely to donate.) If my donation is 'misused or misappropriated', so what? So, come on ... do something adventurous - one of you moderators open a (or use an existing) Paypal account.
I am a M'sian living abroad and wish to donate something. Facilitate me.

Hmmm.... Very good hearted and generous.... However, I think there is a very basic and important rule that must strictly adhered to...
All public donations must be properly and transparently recorded and accounted for... and that is not an easy thing to do... Most people think that this is a small matter, but this is the foundation for any charity that is to be carried out...

Thanks for your input.
I suppose I am showing my naivety. I forgot things are probably more complicated to set up in M'sia. (In UK, one only need to fill in a 2-page setup form together with a constitition to get a charity off the ground. Yes, there are bogus charities but in the main, people are reasonably honest.)
