QUOTE(BuFung @ May 25 2010, 04:54 PM) what I see one of the biggest issue is techincal challenge to them.. to redo the whole things in higher resolution, it take lot's of time n the supporting base are not longer there.. coz all the old application on 640 x 320... i agree, plus most of the time such specs may not be too cost effective, not everybody will buy a phone at 5k price tag, so for i think for Nokia, commercial sales comes first, like their success on 5800Nokia already running out of time.. they have to come out with something first.. before stepping to higher end... From the way there polish the S60V5.. we know they are really lack of speed in development... see the trasaction from 5800 to N97... what kind of improvement they make.. ... ... .. next, commercially , very hard for them to use all those state of art technology... they don't manufacturer those part themself.. like Super AMOLED, they have to buy from Samsung etc.... will jack up the cost so much higher... just my personal point of view... |

yep, i dont get the idea of getting buyers all hyped up for so long before launching the phone, isn't it better go just go ahead with it when people are still excited with the product

QUOTE(Andrew Lim @ Jun 24 2010, 08:04 PM) Actually the iPhone 4 was only announced a few weeks before they started taking pre-orders. Today they have already started shipping. There are user reviews on YouTube. i think somewhat the marketing strategy of Apple works better than Nokia, or at least they are confident in their productions and promotions. I think it's always the best to sell the cake right out the oven instead of showing people the cake for a long time and just creating hypes. People will change their mind when similar products are produced when it's the time they fancy something most.Whereas Nokia announced the N8 very early in April. Yet today there isn't a retail version or and pre-orders. Plus, up till now no official release date has been announced by Nokia for N8. It's already approaching Q3 of the year, shouldn't Nokia at least start something? This post has been edited by jackyoboy: Jun 24 2010, 09:33 PM |

QUOTE(BuFung @ Jun 27 2010, 09:19 AM) available in the market.. RM1499 some LYN seller selling.... sell like hot cake.... some specs are better than the n8, and i find it quite disappointing comparing the screen size and resolution for wave and n8, it would be better for n8 to have higher resolution since quite a few phones do have better resolution than the n8recording 720p @ 30 frame no problem..... the only drawback is application support now... samsung are pushing this hard... selling it @ low price to attract more user.... another thing I like it is the size... very pocket friendly... |

QUOTE(BuFung @ Jun 27 2010, 11:13 PM) resolution a plain disappointment... way too low.. make the n8 only comparable to most mid range of HTC/samsung phone.... seriously, the resolution for nokias haven't gone up much upon the years have they?it should be a better effort by nokia to produce smoother images, like what every manufacturer is doing.clear pixels around the logos / images = not an eye candy |

QUOTE(BuFung @ Jul 1 2010, 02:51 PM) the wave r real value for money... the problem of samsung is they produce way too many model n too little support..... agreed.that's the reason actually, im still sticking to n8 coz of the applications and also firmware supports.a smartphone is still a smartphone and i think it does not have enough applications especially for Bada OS. |
