but nokia device since N73 got 3D surround sound effect d.long long time ago.why nokia didnt state it as Dolby surround?

the difference between 3D surround and direct surround sound is different.

3D the effect very weak. Direct surround sound makes u feel you are there.

I tried Avatar with my home system wow so nice experience.

is it?then N8 is the first phone contain Dolby surround?sure got comes with music then?

cos 7.1 channel PC also normally need a decent sound card de mah...right now u can get it on a phone..it's rather cool

depends, in the end, it's still about how polished Symbian^3 is compared to right now...
the leaked device show a better looking homescreen, but everything else is same/similar as Symbian V5 right now...if u ask me, i personally think that Symbian V5 sucks in terms of touch screen experience

but 5800 worth that money.actually when i purchase something the most important point is do the item worth the money?ya,iphone is good but iphone doesnt worth the money(for example).although 5800 running symbian v5 which is not really good in functioning and touch screen usage.haha.

yeah that's true, it's due to the price that ppl can endure how *ordinary* the OS is...honestly if u ask me, the theme effect aint that impressive, despite bigger screen, just a slightly dumped processor, some place need to double tap...lol, that's really a joke for touch screen experience, really

sorry, i memang have high requirement when it comes to phone...cos, it's gonna be the device u be using the most...

Well, Symbian^3 already adresses those annoying double tap thing...now it constantly requires only one tap throughout the menu..
The annoying allow connection pop up also was dismissed in this version.
However for me, Symbian^3 just S60v5 on STEROID...which I didn't mind really. As long as the OS itself powerful for my needs. Function over form yo!
The real deal will be Symbian^4 and Meego for Nokia

i think Meego.Symbian doesnt have any space for improvement.

agree dolby standard is very high.. and if u hv a hardware which support dolby output... it is the ultimate sound system..

The look of the phone... is almost similiar to SE Vivaz, which is also a symbian phone, but S60.

Now S60 R5 is already officially Symbian^1 haha..

well...there are something that worries me though....right now, this phone is running on symbian^3, we all know that, but, when symbian^4 come out, which according to their road map, it's gonna be sometime next year, will this phone be supported? or it will just be another abandoned phone that is stucked with the premature OS

actually symbian by itself it's quite stable, seeing how 256MB ram is able to run 64 apps at the same time, the OS kernal is both good in resource management, and also stable enough to run 64 apps. I wish they would:

>>polish more on the UI(better, more fluid theme effects, cool gallery views, multitouch) to deliver better user experience
>>increase the flexibility on the OS itself (can set default app for specific file type)
>>fully support on hardware acceleration, which they eventually will in Symbian^4
>>much responsive, right now is ok, but it can be improved.
>>supports more video format, although h264 is supported, but some popular formats like .avi or core-avc is not supported still
