It is XENON FLASH loh. Check official spec at their official websites.

I think what he mean't by LED flash is LED lighting during video recording which on the other hand Xenon flash light up when video recording do they?

now i only realized satio is using arm cortex a8 600mhz.but it seems like not as smooth as N900.

Added on April 28, 2010, 6:52 pmxenon unable to light up for video recording.coz xenon cannot continuously light on.xenon theory is charge then lights on after charged.unlike LED theory.

Hoping that the processor didn't bugger up the phone so much...after all the GPU was there to support it rite? nod.gif

the OS and UI play a part oso.the iphone 3gs oso using arm cortex a8 600mhz,but u can see the UI is smoothest among all the phones

Yup...the important thing was the OS optimization in the phone.
But again, there was really no fault in having extra oomph readily available under the hood rite? nod.gif

Well to tell u the truth, ARM11 also was used in iPhone 3g...and we saw how that phone fly through its interface rite (and that with lower clock than N8)....hence as I say before, optimization also played a big role in UI fluidity....

BUT...I'm on the "Want more power!!" side...It still make me wonder why Nokia doesn't opt for more modern processor? Haih... sweat.gif

U must be joking on the route error, less POis & not update maps by ovimaps..If u are real into GPS..ovimaps using navteq is a joke!! try checking the detal in Puchong area & compare this wth malfreemaps either in garmin or papago format biggrin.gif

QUOTE(zero_kbom @ Apr 28 2010, 06:23 PM)
Maybe can install...as Symbian^3 maintain legacy app support whilst providing new tools to develop app (QT)
On the other hand, either it will be usable without any bug what so ever......we can only hope rolleyes.gif

But to be honest, I rarely used my Garmin anymore, Ovi Maps just simply awesome thumbup.gif

From my perspective its not iphone dont lag. Because the phone doesnt support multi tasking there is nothing to lag. Its like u said all the processor and memory dedicated to 1 application at a time of course it wont lag. Other phone have alot things running on the background

A. about the processor – ARM-11 680MHz processor, we got the grapchics accelerator next to it. Getting great speeds with that combination. Some screens are running already now at 60fps

Yalo!!

"Processor

Nokia did not tell which processor is installed in the N8, but told a few details: the core of the processor ARM1176 , a deterioration from the Cortex A8 processor in the N900.

The 12-megapixel photos and 720p video to allow the multimedia processor Broadcom BCM2727 added. Earlier was still that one cpu Omap3530 Texas Instruments could be, but is proved wrong: the Omap3530 no ARM11 core, but a Cortex A8 core.

The clock speed of the CPU is 680MHz, which he theoretically slightly faster than the 600MHz processor, for example the HTC and Sony Ericsson Legend Aspen. The clock speed is much higher than the 434MHz CPU in the N97. The new chips have the strength in graphics or lose out to the N900, which are newer core much more in house."

Well once u use Garmin or even papago maps wth malfreemaps...ovimaps detail really hopeless..It's a nice software but without the support from the most updated GPS maps in malaysia, it is useless...

Try searching for Yap Chuan Bah Kut teh or even any nearby clinic or food court around your place using ovimaps.. smile.gif Or check for PFCC or 100yen shop in ovimaps, can you find it? or address search can you search using keyword rather than typing the whole exact jalan?

Anyway just hope this Symbian^3 able to install Garmin lah bcos this probably my nxt upgrade after SE Vivaz...currently having the best HD quality video in the market & soon this N6 probably pawned Vivaz liao biggrin.gif

Yes, comparing the map quality, MFM n MSM really pawn Navteq kaw kaw.
But as u said, I'm not a heavy GPS user, and been happy with what Ovi Maps offers me.
And dun forget that Ovi Maps itself is a freeware thumbup.gif
