lets say u got 2 cores,
the application u use is only designed for ONE CORE ONLY, the other core not utilised.
then turbo boost will kick in to increase the speed of that FIRST CORE ONLY
thats intel turbo boost.
its feature is more to compensate the speed lost due to the application being able to use ONE core only.
not to increase the processor's performance as a whole.
