CF receieved for Ebony Parkhomes. Start renovating soon. Gonna extend the back land and make a huge Lounge area. 2nd floor huge balcony. Just hope i don't offend my neighbour in doing so. If you are my future neighbour, i apologize beforehand. ^^

based on my experience, i traveled from Emerald West -> KLCC in April 2012 once. I left at 7am and ensure the jam at...
1. Rawang Toll
2. Bkt Lanjan (after restoran jejantas sg. buloh)
3. Jln Duta Toll
4. Jln Kuching
5. Jln Sultan Ismail until Renaissance Hotel.

that's the latest 1 i tried. But i could seem the jam was caused by some roadworks at the Monorail Bkt Nanas Station. i remember last time it won't take up to 2 hours. but i would assume 2 hours are the worst traffic.

i also tried, Jln Sultan Ismail (Menara MBF) -> Emerald West few years ago and endure jam at,
1. Jln Sultan Ismail
2. Jln Kuching
3. Jln Duta
4. Jln Duta Toll
5. Rawang Toll

Mon-Thu: Depart 6pm and usually will reach 7.15pm. (except rainy day. Add 1/2 hour)
Fri: Depart 6pm and usually reach 8pm.
but since the opening of DUKE, it only take me 45 mins from Emerald West to GE Mall @ Jln Ampang.
Leave 8am, reached 9am and from GE Mall -> Emerald West, leave 6pm, reached 7pm. That is via PLUS and DUKE.

P/S: I drive < 110km/h for the above journey cos when there's lots of car in the highway, don't think of speeding. you cna't. fast lane will become 90km/h only.

Ok so soon when Rawang Toll is extended, it will ease the traffic    (perhaps there'll be more cars anyway due to rapid development in Rawang at the moment)

I work in Jln Duta...wonder how long it'll take me to reach office. As for travelling home, I normally work off hours.
I start work at 9am though

Just talked to a buddy of mine who introduces EW to me, he has stayed in BCH for 7 years & worked in BB area. He leaves his house at 8:30am daily & usually reaches his office at 9:15am to 9:20am, with the exception of during heavy rain, accident or stalled car in the middle of the road.
The route he uses are as below:

Rawang Toll
Jln Duta Toll
Jln Duta
Jln Damansara
Jln Istana
Jln Dewan Bahasa (via the new flyover)
Jln Hang Tuah
Jln Imbi
Jln Bukit Bintang

He said he doesn't have to clock-in sharp at 9am, so he prefers to go out at ~8:30am as the traffic is smoother..
Btw from Rawang Toll to Duta Toll ~17min
I would like to try it out for myself one day

Are you sure my friend? Or rather, is your friend very sure on this?

Like I said, I work near Jalan Duta....leaving house at 8.30 and reach Jalan Duta by 9 does not seem to be a problem then? The traveling time would be better than from Kepong to Jalan Duta....

Nevertheless, i will give it a try to experirence the traffic for myself

Spouse and I left at 740am and only arrived a 925am at Dayabumi via the below Jln Duta route, but we will try alternate routes next time, e.g. via Guthrie corridor or NKVE/Sprint.

Also, has anyone at Emerald West had concern over the LaFarge cement factory about 8 km away (4-5km straight-line)..?  We read on the web that a safe distance is 20miles, but am guessing Emerald West is luckier than others nearby the factory because:
1) at least two hills separate it from the factory,
2) factory is SE of Emerald West & predominant winds are NE & SW,
3) our weather is more humid, allowing the cement dust to stick together & fall nearer the factory.

Grateful for your feedback on this, e.g. whether the above concerns & counterarguments are valid..

Tried to sneak into the site last Sunday but failed. Was stopped by a Indian..

But observed generally:

1. Coral houses structurally completed

2. Casis really quite close to chicken farm (like next to it?)

3. Link bridge from emerald east to emerald west remained closed to public & unlikely to open before the ENTIRE Emerald development is completed.. =.=

4. Coral is quite close to highway with traffic orchestra... But at least the high tension tower is far
