I wonder if anyone had used the n82 to run any 3d modelling software, Autocad, 3ds, Catia and so on.. can the optimus switch to use the GT335 for them?

i tried to install the two drivers i downloaded from nvidia (the verde 197.16 and optimus 189.79) but failed to install them.

For the verde driver setup, there was a pop up saying that a suitable driver could not be found while the optimus one triggered a pop up saying "Non 7-zip archive".

Anyone could shed some light?

Thanks

I figured out that the verde driver is most probably not compatible with the n82jv as the driver is released earlier than the n82jv.

As for the optimus driver, i managed to install it and things are working fine so far. When the nvidia GPU is turned on, the LED color turns white smile.gif Anyway i still have yet to try the n82 with autocad or any 3ds software as the ones i have now are not compatible with the win 7 64 bit.....sad.gif

So far with the new optimus driver everything is running fine.

Could run AutoCAD 2010 but cant recognise GT335M most prolly due to the laptop was released way later than the software. Now waiting to get my hands on 2011.

Anyway tried Dirt2 and the graphics were crisp smile.gif

Heheh and I thought that the downside of getting the GT335M was bcos it could support up till dx10 prior to the new update. Wit the new update and having dx11, things just get better and better biggrin.gif

Playing games like BC2 and Dirt 2 would be quite warm. However i feel the fan is doing a good job in ventilating all the warm air out. How did u check for the temp?
