Any previous iPhone owners who jump on this bandwagon and never look back? Not to say myself as a fanboy but I'm so used to iPhone OS. Thinking to use Maemo 5. Android seems overrated by the way, no offense.

Does anyone have serious or minor hardware defects with your N900? One of the major I always stumble at when I'm researching about it is that some units have faulty USB ports which only functional in charging using USB cable and not the charger itself. Some even completely unusable. On software wise, some even experience slowdown in performance and even randomly restarting itself. Should I be worry?

QUOTE(fai79ruz @ May 27 2010, 06:34 AM) ok the option r at the phone menu-contact-all contact-setting-u can c there is an option (display video calling option) and it already tick.. Added on May 27, 2010, 6:52 amOk , i did my research and found out that the front camera is a VGA web camera, u guys we right so its my mistake assuming this is for 3g video call because i did check from other forum and youtube and there said it for video calling. Aiya y lar now only it show me this spec not before when i buy tis HP, feel a bit dispointed because i bought tis hp want to upgrade my E71 which i already have install GPS now even GPS is gone.In my point of view tis hp i only upgrade the browsing but lost every thing else. Anyway any of u guys know if it can make video calling?? http://www.nokia.com.my/find-product/all-p.../specificationsPerhaps you're missing out under Call Management: Video Calling (availability will be announced later). The ones you're checking is under Video Cameras: VGA web camera which is not related to 3G video calling, more to internet applications like Skype or Google Talk.

I use OTA to download firmware PR 1.2 at 100MB+, but download failed at 90MB+. Then now download NSU, surprisingly this time the firmware at a whooping 180MB+.
This phone definitely stands in the crowd, it's differently beautiful and differently powerful than what's in the market. Maemo needs to be bigger than it is now.

By the way, I'm on Hotlink prepaid and randomly I need to check my credit. I'm unable to do so when I type *122# on the dial pad. Any work around on this?

Going too, downloading the PR 1.2 via NSU. Can't stop looking at this phone, so hard to distract myself.
So far, blue flashing means for notification, yellow flashing for charging, and green for fully charged. Any more than this?

To be honest, coming down from iPhone OS for two years and for the first time to Maemo, it's really different.
It's easy to use yet very geeky and in a powerful way. I think I'll be using this more than my netbook.
Can I access and delete contacts on my SIM card by the way?

Most of the usage is on landscape mode, so it's normal to press the volume button differently right? For example, lowering volume on portrait mode is actually increasing volume on landscape mode.

If my phone is working properly, I must say that it's brilliant to not light up the keyboard lights when I'm in a bright room. It'll only lit up when I'm in a dark room or low light room conditions.

Successfully using NSU to update my N900 to PR 1.2, performance is snappier for the first comment.

Okay, after updating to PR 1.2 I have lost all of my default audio, video, and images files. The ones that contain ringtones, demo videos, and panoramic wallpapers. I thought all of that were built into the firmware, my bad for did not backing up. Anyone have spares?

Using the N900 is truly astonishing, the freedom is really yours. Coming from ex-iPhone user I can truly say that I wouldn't miss my iPhone anymore. I use it more than my netbook.
Updates so far is that Nokia will not continue any future development on Maemo but instead focus on MeeGo and it will not be officially available on the N900. Anyway I can't install fMMS as it claims that I don't have Python related files. Anyone tried Firefox from Ovi Store?
Also, has anyone tried pairing with PS3 controller?
