Anyhow, I've totally given up with autorotation and its quirks. Now setting the phone app on permanent portrait, and turning off browser autorotate.

Hoping that will save enough battery for me to be able to rum on brightness level two again, one is far too dark at light lol.

no la last time N97 cost like 2K +++++ so suddenly the price so low of course shock. I mean if u compare the price today and last time for original nokia stores set so much different

Can't comment much on pricing or value when my N900 is actually a hand-me-down. A FOSS phone in its fullest sense lol. Though I do agree that the browser is a work of art, and *nix in a phone (which isn't some dumbed down mobile implementation) with the ability to run LX freakin DE is just sublime.

But it kinda sucks at being 'just a phone'. Once you realise it's not really meant to be one in the first place, you will start being happy with it though.

As for phones worth splashing monies fo later, lets see if Nok gets their Meego phones right (say it with me Nok, UUUU-ESSSS-BEE HOST. If the N freakin 8 can do it...), OR if the Nexus Two/Milestone successor is worth the money.
