Gonna wait until Wesak hols for this. Really don't need to handle a half-dead, semi-customized phone around on workdays.

Plus I get to see the show...

*munches more popcorn*

maybe flash 10 in pr1.3. lol

btw, flash 10.1 is a bit overhyped. yes it is indeed new thing for smartphones but right now there is only one and ONE smartphone in this world running on flash 10 (the nexus one) and it is still in beta without GPU support!
*
even in beta support, it runs quite smooth when surf to ecodazoo.com while i tried with mine, OC to 900mhz and still it is not as smooth as nexus one...

i did a backup in n900 itself (using built-in backup tool), it helps to backup everything u installed and available in app manager (all the repository link). after reflash i restore it, everything just like before, only need to reinstall sygic. from backup + flash + restore it took me 1hour.

orhh.. nvm.. tmr i onleave.. tonite can try this manual flash..

Mine:
1. Palm Zire
2. Clie SJ22
3. Clie TJ37
4. Dell Axim X51V
5. Nokia 5800
6. Nokia N97 Mini
7. Nokia Advanced Experimental Half-Baked Computer Phone Thing (aka N900 aka the Chuck Norris Phone)

It's been a looooong journey lol... And just for comparison, the N900 is MILES more stable then my modded Axim ever was, so I can say I'm happy (and used to using devices whose makers have forgotten about lol).

i bought at around rm45 i guess..cos he accept my offer which i quote a bit lower than the price he put in ebay... u may refer to this..

http://cgi.ebay.com.my/Protech-Full-Body-S...=item439d3aa17e

i got another type 'imask' which abt rm70+ but not yet use.keep as spare in case i wan change it... i l ike abt protech because it cover side of the phone and not like some brand only top and bottom part..but some part of the sticker got like not so accurate and one of the side sticker i think the hole they forgot to cut also lol..

i heard clear coat is the best.. but never use it yet..so not too sure..  hmm.gif

thanks for ur answer.. yes i did follow this thread and previous N900 thread to gain some knowledge but they're very long thread and i might miss many things there..

anyway is it a heavy internet dependent phone like android / iPhone?

and one more thing, can it sync contact from ms outlook or google contact?

thanks!
*
This N900's internet dependent depends on your widget and surfing. it could be as heavy internet dependent when u rely on RSS and emails.. or it could be like me, only use whenever required. unlike android, natively, you cant switch off the internet connection without using apps to switch it off ; same like iphone (i used G1 back then, and i am not sure if 2.1 could switch off the internet connection). So, is it heavy internet dependent, its your choice.

it can sync with ms outlook via Nokia PC suite. however, i am not sure if it can sync with google as i havent come across with any software to sync with google contact.

depends on your liking, whether you wish to buy a phone to use, or u want to a internet tablet to use..

Using the N900 is truly astonishing, the freedom is really yours. Coming from ex-iPhone user I can truly say that I wouldn't miss my iPhone anymore. I use it more than my netbook.

Updates so far is that Nokia will not continue any future development on Maemo but instead focus on MeeGo and it will not be officially available on the N900. Anyway I can't install fMMS as it claims that I don't have Python related files. Anyone tried Firefox from Ovi Store?

Also, has anyone tried pairing with PS3 controller?

same here.. just that me using it as my art tablet.. been drawing ever since i got this mypaint app.. made me think twice if i wanna sell it out..
