To browse, edit few post and reply on Nokia n900 is Okay to copy paste from everywhere and go to frontpage is not an easy job.

Nope, unless something went wrong and your network configs are pening, autodiscon only disconnects net connections that are not active aka transmitting or recieving data. When you need more data the n900 will automatically connect to the net again, using the "connect automatically" settings you have chosen in the Internet setup.

But wifi-switcher messes up this automatic re-connect. Check if you have that installed/activated.

Depends on which profile you load. It goes from Stock > LV > Ideal > ULV> XLV > Starving as far as voltages go, assuming you set it all to 250-600. Lower voltages = more battery life, IF your N900 can handle it.

Also, lower clockspeeds = lower voltage BUT slower operation = longer time needed per operation before you lock your N900 and put the proc on idle.

So it's actually quite complex.

Simple rule of thumb though, Starving saves the most battery, but runs very low voltages.

And your plan of running Ideal at 250-600 should, in theory, already be a battery saver over the stock settings, IF your N900 can handle it lar.

finally, get my msn contact to work. dont use pecan protocol, instead use the built in one.
