Fennec lags at times, that's for sure. unless you tweak and disable plugins/images/java/etc. but what's the point? lawl. but im still putting high hopes on mozilla team to pull some stunts on upcoming updates to fennec, hey it's only in beta atm remember?

agreed that microb is a lot more responsive so i guess i will try Opera in a short while. wink.gif

what's an awesomebar?

QUOTE(fakerdemit @ May 11 2010, 08:51 PM)
first of all, i thought it was run out of battery. i still can see the backlight. the green light when i fully charged. still the screen won come out. really f***. i haven't install any new program recently. lately, i'm using my n900 for call, internet and texting. no games, no video, no any program. today evening. suddenly, it won't come out. haihhhh. f***.

sorry. for the harsh words, i'm so stressed out.
*
what did you last do to your n900? what was the last app you installed into your n900? did you play around with XTerm?

if it's application/software related then maybe a reflash would solve the issue?

with N you might be able to get wider coverage, however the speed would be capped at G seems n900 is not N-compatible.

btw, just shared n900 with flickr and facebook, hopefully nokia came out with better camera firmware fix for better mobile uploads lol

What happens if N900 was able to run Android? would you jump on the bandwagon?

Android on N900

well of course, i would prefer Maemo as well definitely over Android. at least Maemo has official support (1.2 anyone?) from Nokia.

anyway, i want MeeGo!

guys, i installed fMMS and then removed it however, in the connection tab it always automatically reverts back to use connection MMS instead of my Diginet which doesn't transfer any packet data at all.

i went to settings and the Delete is greyed out;which means i can't delete it. may i know why and how to remove this manually?

p/s: my wireless SSID however, is able to be removed though.

QUOTE(Eiraku @ May 13 2010, 11:03 AM)
You didn't rewrite the default 3G packet data APN using fAPN by any chance, did you? Because IINM, that one CANNOT be deleted.

If you did, just delete the current 3G settings file you're using and rewrite the 3G settings manually for the undeletable APN.
*
i didnt rewrite it with fAPN. it shows Diginet and MMS and for some reason the MMS APN is prioritized. why don't you all have this problem with fMMS? lol.
did i install it wrongly?

QUOTE(aspire2oo6 @ May 13 2010, 11:10 AM)
go to setting then sharing connections delete the digi net then request 3g setting then overwrite the old 1 wit default setting
*
nope. Diginet cannot be deleted as well, it's greyed out. anyhow, i did a backup restore and everything's fixed now. but i would like to know a work-around for this in case it happens again in near future. sweat.gif

Added on May 13, 2010, 11:30 amp/s: and yah.. not a big fan of ported games on n900. casual games like angry chicks and brain party however, blow my mind. biggrin.gif

i'm with Andy.

Adobe Flash is the main reason why people are going to N900(maemo) or Milestone(android). (they both fall in the same category yes?) since both will be getting 10.1 sooner or later so they are practically heading to the same destination. only Android is regarded being a Apple AppStore in disguise while n900 stays to its main selling point, the openness of "open". ya know what i mean. wink.gif and these are the sole reasons the market is segregated into different users/communities.

and why do you think Opera guys made Opera mobile for n900 as a hobby project on Maemo but not Android? and imagine what happens when 1.2 gets released with latest QT DSK, and with MeeGo (confirmed on n900), things are looking so bright in the future that i prolly need to get a pair of shades to cover me eyes. tongue.gif

btw, Apple and Adobe business feud/rivalry has been there since long ago. did you know they used to be partners at some point last time? the reason of the break-up was unknown but anyone could've guessed it was due to disagreement on profitability/financial unjust issues.

p/s: Andy why edited your post?? invalid facts ah?

@kfthoo
for Yahoo, dont create in a separate mailbox. it will give that particular name/passwd error. not sure why though.

try this settings.

Email > New account

Region: Malaysia
Service Provider: Nokia Messaging

Email: <Your Yahoo mail add>
Password: <Your Yahoo mail passwd>

then you will be able to look for your Yahoo mail add in Nokia Messaging.

having used blackberry before, i will definitely not paying for nokia so-called push email system unless they improve. lol free trial then i will continue using. tongue.gif

QUOTE(Eiraku @ May 20 2010, 12:48 AM)
Oh, and the battery meter is near useless, goes from 100 to near empty. Nothing in between.

*
you can't be that spot on Eiraku! lol

(check out the battery graph attached)

i put in spare(third party) around 2.45pm and it lasted till 6pm. (3hrs only!) and the funny thing is; it died within two minutes! the meter plummeted from around 80% to 0% in less than 2 minutes. i was dumbfounded haha! beep.. beep... beep ti ri ti tiii tiii robotic sound. laugh.gif

what could have caused an almost 80% HUGE current leak within 2 minutes?! nahh... jk. i blame on the bad circuitry designs for third party batteries.. doh.gif

@aspire
your vid clip is seriously distorted. it looks like a mini N900 instead

EDIT: it could be that particular battery only as i tried the other one and doesnt have this problem. smile.gif
