When I saw all the Xs across the old threads and Syd G under the Last Action column, I initially thought "It's finally happened, she's gone MAD WITH POWER!!!!"

Okay, so I'm not going to the bar tonight because my friends all canceled at the last minute. LAME. So much for an impromptu H&F gathering (again)!

Didn't want to create a new thread but I have a question on water and food intake during workouts and I thought of throwing it out here.

I have been going to the gym for quite a while and I'm happy with my progress but today while I was working out, this FF PT approached me and asked me not to drink too much water (3 liters of water in that two hours) and eat (I hit the gym for 2 hours and I eat a quarter of a banana every half an hour) as he said that it would slow down my progress.

Any truth in what he said?
*
I think at 3 liters/2 hours, you're kind of skirting the edge of water poisoning!

Actually not just him. Various sites too and bodybuilders in person.

It's at times like these we need a Costco or some other bulk supplier in Malaysia.

(for steaks)

I don't know anything about who's gay in this thread, but I can definitely tell you who's being really stupid.

is it ok to take chicken as protein through fried? my workplace only sell them fried and i would eat at least 2 for lunch with meehon for lower carbs...
*
A BUCKET OF KFC A DAY.

(seriously though, fried chicken is fine as a protein source, if oil/fat content isn't your main concern)

Conversely I take no shakes per day, unless you count my home-made milkshakes.

Ice blended raw chicken.

Gross.

I usually just throw the following into my little Magic Bullet and blend:
- 2-3 bananas, chopped and frozen
- 1-2 tablespoons of Hershey's chocolate syrup
- 2 tablespoons of peanut butter
- 1-2 cups of milk
- 1 tablespoon of psyllium husk (optional)

Eh, 1-3? It depends on how hot the weather is, honestly.

Maybe someone should start a recipes thread on here. Then we can all masak-masak.

It was a present from a friend, I have no idea where she got it from. I can ask, though.

I get 2-4 hours of sleep a night, and I'm not quite skeletal yet (thankfully).

THat'll be great! i checked out their website, kinda pricey after adding Del &Handling . 99USD +48USD.
saw the vid on the blender, looks very easy to use and the keep fresh lids would come in handy.
*
Uh, it's only USD 55-ish on Amazon (http://www.amazon.com/Magic-Bullet-Express...d/dp/B000AEZVRS). I'll drop her a text and see if she can remember, though.

also, been taking nutrex lipo6 for 1/2 month but i see no significant result. maybe it's because my diet sucks but it's because i don't have much budget to buy good foods, poor college student i am. can u guys recommend me some cheap meals or diets please? thanks x)
*
Er, don't buy supplements you don't need and you'll have plenty of money to buy decent food.

Anyway, if you don't buy steak every day like I do, some suggestions for cheap, protein-rich food:
- eggs (I prefer to make one giant omelet instead of boiling them all at once)
- lentils + rice
- black beans + rice (actually, let's just say "any legume + any starch = complete protein")
- edamame
- tempeh

Bro, still waiting for your special supplementless diet thread. Your thread would help some students here immensely, for those who even find whey burning a hole in their pocket.

I'll try to put one up later this week. It'll probably end up being a list of the stuff I snack on between meals, heh.

QUOTE(cheezzzz @ May 16 2010, 08:05 PM)
bro very good suggestions, im gonna try to buy some of them. where can i find lentil n black beans at a good price?
*
Any half-decent grocery store will sell dried legumes for really, really, really cheap.

I say misplace. They moving from Consplant to Empire, before Consplant do have a squat rack. I've asked one of the staff, he say maybe they haven't transfer everything from Consplant to Empire yet. But I wonder where would they put it then, space packed. I guess tomorrow I just got to go with the Smith machine for the first time. I'm newb in everything.

I was planning to drive over to check out the pool later this week--any good?

Also, is all the construction work finished, or does the whole place smell like fresh paint?

Don't waste your time, the pool isn't open until the 25th. Still under construction.

The whole area is a mess for people who lift weights. I'm extremely mad.

Aerobic aunties really love the place though
*
Seriously!? Goddammit. I was hoping to cool off a bit in the pool, but I guess I'll stick with the Bukit Utama golf club.
